Much like the DIY ethic applied to its namesake film, the soundtrack of CLERKS has a very sparse approach taken to it, with a couple of notable exceptions. Commercial alternative artists like Alice In Chains (who recycled "Got Me Wrong" from their SAP EP) and Soul Asylum (who wrote "Can't Ever Tell" specifically for the film) sit alongside such lesser-knowns as Golden Smog (actually the uncredited Dave Pirner, Victoria Williams and various Jayhawks) and Seaweed. Bash & Pop's trashy rocker "Making Me Sick," is followed by Stabbing Westward's Nine Inch Nails-inspired "Violent Mood Swings." Representing the commercially untainted side of the alternative nation are Supernova (whose "Chewbacca" is an ode to the "Star Wars" character), the manic ravings of Girls Against Boys ("Kill The Sex Player"), and the thinking-man's punk of Bad Religion ("Leaders And Followers"). While the snippets of movie dialogue make CLERKS follow in the footsteps of any Quentin Tarantino-related soundtracks, the music squarely makes it a current update of wherever SINGLES left off.

Jim Cummings (Rasputin); Jonathan Dokuchitz (Dimitri); Bernadette Peters (Sophie).
ANASTASIA's soundtrack captures all the majesty and drama of the animated tale of love and intrigue. Liz Callaway's bright, pretty voice is well-suited to the role of Anastasia, the legendary last survivor of the Romanovs, while Kelsey Grammer is lovable as Vladimir, the fallen aristocrat who befriends her. Jim Cummings is the sinister villain Rasputin, and Bernadette Peters rounds out the film's sterling cast as the regal Sophie.
In addition to orchestral music, the ANASTASIA soundtrack contains contributions by some of today's biggest pop ...
| | Beatles Yellow Submarine CD (1969) Remastered
Clerks Soundtrack CD music
$15.19 Starting out as a sing-a-long vehicle for Ringo Starr on REVOLVER, "Yellow Submarine" became the inspiration for the 1968 animated feature film of the same name. Most of the soundtrack was composed and orchestrated by George Martin, but the remaining six songs were far from being Beatle cast-offs. George Harrison's two contributions, "Only A Northern Song" and "It's All Too Much" mark the adventurously experimental phase the Beatles were in at that time and dabble in woozy psychedelic shadings laced with orchestrations that continued to influence cutting-edge pop artists for decades to come. Along with the aforementioned "Yellow Submarine," other Lennon/McCartney compositions include the good-time, skiffle-flavored "All Together Now," the Lennon-driven rocker ...
