True to its time. This soundtrack stays loyal to the true and heartfelt music of that era. It does not compromise the emotion or the impact of a conflict that this country will never forget. Every historical enthusiast should own a copy. Submitted by Matthew (North Royalton, Ohio) Was This Review Helpful? YesNo
Great Soundtrack This is the sound track album from the Civil War documentary made by Ken Burns for PBS. Just about all the music from the PBS series are on this disc. Highly recommend getting this album if you are a fan of the civil war series. It has songs that were popular either in the north and the south at the time of the war and includes I feel the very best version of "Battle Hymn of the Republic" I have ever heard.
