 Pretty Darn Good
Judging by the track listing, it's pretty clear that this compilation was intended for Agnetha's Swedish fans, since more than half of the collection was sung in her native tongue. But even if you don't know Swedish, this double CD can still be an essential bonus to your music collection.

With songs like "Jag var så kar (I Was So In Love)", "En sang om sorg och gladje (A Song About Sorrow And Joy)" and "När du tar mej i din famn (When You Take Me In Your Arms)", Agnetha's voice bring such incredible feeling to them that you would want to take up Swedish lessons to understand what she's singing about.

"Många gånger än (Many Times Again)", "Dröm är dröm och saga saga (A Dream Is A Dream And A Story's A Story)", and "Tack för en underbar, vanlig dag (Thanks For A Wonderful, Ordinary Day)" all have sweet melodies that would make you want to sing along, even if you can't pronounce the words.

And then there's her Swedish rendition of ABBA's "S.O.S.", featuring ABBA backing her up on vocals...'nuff said!

Her English works are a joy as well, including selections from ABBA, "The Winner Takes It All" has always been a favorite, and her solo staple "I Won't Let You Go" takes you back to the awesome eighties that you remember.

It's a pretty good collection to have, but way too short. Not all of Agnetha's best work is included. There are a few Swedish gems left out and some German songs that could have been included. Since she paid homage to ABBA, where's "Ring, Ring" or "Hasta Manana" when you need them? And there are quite a few tracks from her English solo albums that would have been preferred, like "The Heat Is On" and "The Last Time". And of course, more selections from her albums with her children....

I could go on and on about the "missing" tracks. An in order to include all of them would take at least four discs, (perhaps two in Swedish and two in English?). And because of that, you can't help but feel that something is missing, which is why this "best of" collection is recieving only four stars. But still a very good buy anyway.
