This James Horner score goes along with the landscape in the movie -- lush, sweeping, and absolutely breathtaking. Of course, it has its share of bad-guy themes too. As a whole, you could hardly ask for a more beautiful score. ~ Tavia Hobart

Willow Soundtrack Music Review Average Rating: (5 out of 5 stars)  Soundtrack to the greatest movie ever.
Finally, I found the official soundtrack to my favoirte movie of all time, Willow! James Horner did a fantastic job at mixing orchestral and folk music to give the movie a bit more of a fantasy atmosphere. To finally hear these versions uncut and through my stereo is a great experience.

This is one of those scores that can be listened to at any time. Driving, relaxing, or even reading. I loved the movie, and I think at least half the credit for that belongs to the music. It is cleary James Horner's finest score, inching just past his work for Glory, and heads and shoulders above the widely popular Titanic score. This album is a treasure and should be purchased before it is too late.

Before Titanic, James Horner was not above composing scores for cartoonish family films, and many of those that brought him on their production board owe him greatly. The Rocketeer directed by Joe Johnston (Honey, I Shrunk the Kids, Jumanji, October Sky) entails the story of a young pilot during World War II who happens upon a rocket pack that allows him to fly.
