5 stars fabulous experience of memories
this is a wonderful collection of johnny rivers music. i have been looking for this album/cd for years and was thrilled to be able to listen to it again. Tunesmith, Carpetman , and SweetSmilin children are beautiful songs that will take you back yet still hold up today. the music is haunting.

I absolutely Love this album. The Lyrics to Sweet Smiling Children really tell it like it is, our consumer culture, telling them that all this Stuff matters most. NOT. Look To Your Soul (for the answer) well that speaks for itself. This guy GETS IT. One of my all time favorite poet/musicians. A mix of music. some rockin' tunes also. doesn't get any better. His voice is so clear and you can understand the lyrics and Feel what he's saying. LindaMarie

Nobody does it like Johnny Rivers He was overlooked for too many years. His soulful sound vibrates throughout this CD. Do yourself a favor and give it a try. To me, he represents the 60's and 70's at their best.

This 75-minute album, originally a double-LP (recorded live at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City on April 3, 1970) is a valiant attempt at capturing the Association's concert sound on record. Unfortunately, it fails for several reasons, beginning with the fact that the instrumental mix is very bass-heavy -- even with adjustments to compensate, this overwhelms much of the rest of the band on several key numbers.
