||Screaming thru December once again.|
I first owned this on 8-track tape. One of the bright pink Atlantic records tapes, then I owned the LP a couple of times. I also remember liking the next self titled Hall & Oates album, their first for RCA. After that I lost interest. I understand why H & O don't care for War Babies. It's basically the first Utopia album w/ Daryl Hall on lead vocals & Oates providing one song and back up vocals & rhythm guitar(maybe). It's still a great album.

||it's about time!|
I was beginning to wonder if y'all were ever going to add this CD to the Hall&Oates collection. It's way overdue!I have long since wore the grooves off my vinyl copy of War Babies. This is without a doubt the best album by this duo. I feel like I am the unoffical spokesperson for this web site, because I tell all of my friends about the music and videos that you have available. I even told my pastor. He is delighted as well. I only wish that purchasing music was this simple 35 years ago. CDUNIVERSE YOU'RE THE GREATEST!!!

||Rundgren meets Hall & Oates|
I'm a huge Rundgren fan, so it's only natural that I would find this album to be a very interesting collaboration! It's very out of the ordinary for a Hall & Oates product, BUT, I have to give them credit for reaching out to such a progressive artist and producer to handle this project. After all Todd was called in to polish up Badfinger's Straight Up LP, which turned out GREAT, in my opinion. Very well worth the purchase, IF, you have an open mind to a very different Hall & Oates sound!

||Maybe their best work. Definitely my best memories.|
The harmonies on this album are never to be matched (I could swear I heard Jon Anderson of Yes in there when I first heard the title cut). There's about 5 seconds of superb harmony in that cut that will give you chills. I still havent heard much of this raw creative innovation since War Babies and Abandoned Luncheonette. Possibly they were producing themselves at that time and so had carte blanche.
