The British prog icon's two live albums from the early '90spackaged together as a single release, 1992's 'Live - TheWay We Walk (The Shorts)' (hit songs) and 1993's 'Live TheWay We Walk (The Longs)' (lengthy, abstract material). All17 combined tracks were recorded in 1991 during Genesis'tour to support their hit album 'We Can't Dance'. Includes'Mama', 'In Too Deep', 'No Son Of Mine', 'Land Of Confusion'and 'Throwing It All Away'. Each CD is in a separatestandard jewelcase & they come housed together inside of afull color slipcase. 1998 Virgin Records release.

1 star Not a great concert
The Way We Walk is easily the worse live set that was ever put out. Instead of playing the songs in their full versions, the estranged band played an odd and stupid sounding 19min. medley that really didn't do the songs(Firth of Fifth, Dance on a Volcano ect) any justice. I agree 100% with the other reviewers. At least the former Genesis guitarist and writter Steve Hackett(along with Chester Thomson) played the FULL versions of the Genesis songs on Tokyo Tapes. Daryl Stuermer does not even come close to Steve Hackett's guitar playing on Firth of Fifth. Daryl Stuermer is an insult to Steve Hackett. Do your self a favor and avoid wasting your money with this set.

3 stars HOW THE MIGHTY HAD FALLEN!
FIRST LET ME SAY THAT I HAVE BEEN AN ARDENT GENESIS FAN SINCE 1973. IT WAS INDEED SAD TO SEE THEM BECOME A PARODY OF THEMSELVES BY THE TIME THE 1990'S CAME ALONG! THEY SHOULD HAVE CALLED IT QUITS AFTER INVISIBLE TOUCH ALBUM. SOME MAY EVEN SAY IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN EARLIER, BUT I'M NOT THAT CRUEL! THIS LIVE SET IS A BAND IN THEIR DEATH THROWS.MY C.D. IS NOW USED AS A FRIZZBIE! AT LEAST THERE IS SECONDS OUT AND THE ORIGINAL GENESIS LIVE ALBUM TO FALL BACK ON. A FAR BETTER CHOICE THAN THIS MESS!

There is nothing great about this waste of a set. Genesis ended as a band years before this was released. It should have been renamed. "The Way We Sucked" Stick with Hackett's Tokyo Tapes and you should be ok.
