Lights Out album for sale Product Description
Lights Out album for sale by UFO was released Mar 14, 2000 on the EMI Music Distribution label. Japanese reissue is digitally remastered and has an extra live performance of "On With The Action." | Superb Album! My favorite Schenker-era UFO album. The tracks are very varied, ranging from rockers like `Lights Out´ to semi-ballads, including arguably their best ever composition `Love To Love´. Highly recommended. By nikkehaglund9 (Vasa, Finland) |
Greatest Hard Rock Album of the mid 70s I first bought this in 77 when it was released i have been hooked ever since. The band is tighter than ever here and Michael's guitar solos are out of this world.Buy this!!!! By bunster36 (Temecula,Ca)
A rarity indeed! This CD from 1977 is right up there with UFO's classic releases such as Obsession and Walk on Water. However, there is a bonus track on this Japanese import version which is worth the price of the whole CD. I do not know from what concert this live version of On With The Action derives, but it is a killer version of the song. If you can still find this Japanese import, pick it up while you still can! Note; No other UFO live release has included this song. By DolbyNR (Matthews, NC)
British Hard Rock at it's Best... This album was the start of an amazing run for UFO. This in my opinion was the best lineup they had, Phil Mogg v/Pete Way b/Michael Schenker g/Andy Parker d/Paul Raymond k. There are many UFO classics included here: Lights Out, Too Hot To Handle just to start. The album is strong from beginning to end. Schenker's playing is clean and fluid, seemingly effortless. UFO never received the recognition in North America that they deserved, mostly due to them being ignored by radio. If you are a fan of hard rock, this CD is a must... as is their live CD "Stranger In The Night", one of the best live CDS ever released. By a reviewer (Edmonton, AB Canada)
I lived the green and blue I never understood why UFO was not bigger than they were. This band competed with any of them-from Sabbath to Tommy Bolin The mid to late seventies produced the widest variety of entertaning music never heard, and UFO was at the top of the ignored. Every album they made is better than any music put out today. This album is a classic example of the fun we had. People today have no concept of what it was like to have bands competing against each other, in a productive way, to put out the best music possible absent the grab for the almighty dollar. UFO actually loved what they were doing and rocked on for the sake of rocking on. By mfoster2 (San Diego,CA USA) This review is for a different format.
