Like Delirious?'s first album, Cutting Edge, King of Fools has echoes of '80s U2, but the band accentuates the Christian undertones in Bono's lyrics, creating a modern rock record that resonates with spirituality. There are a few awkward moments and underdeveloped songs that prevent the record from being as consistently compelling as its predecessor, but the album offers more proof that Delirious? are a Christian rock band with an edge. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine

In my opinion, this is the best Delirious? album to date. It has everything from heavy rock to quiet and reflective. These are songs to probe at the heart. Fantastic!!

I'm an atheist. So why am I reviewing a Christian album? Because I like it! The music is very varied, emotional, relevant, even to those who don't have a God-streak. Some of the songs are exciting, some touching, all moving. What else can I say? I gave it five stars, didn't I?
