Like Delirious?'s first album, Cutting Edge, King of Fools has echoes of '80s U2, but the band accentuates the Christian undertones in Bono's lyrics, creating a modern rock record that resonates with spirituality. There are a few awkward moments and underdeveloped songs that prevent the record from being as consistently compelling as its predecessor, but the album offers more proof that Delirious? are a Christian rock band with an edge. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine

Delirious King Of Fools Songs King Of Fools Music Review Average Rating: (5 out of 5 stars) The BEST yet, and it's their first... I like all of Delirious' CD's but to me, this is the best from beginning to end. Buy it. You'll love it! Submitted by Eldon (Memphis, TN) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
Buy it now!! In my opinion, this is the best Delirious? album to date. It has everything from heavy rock to quiet and reflective. These are songs to probe at the heart. Fantastic!! Submitted by a reviewer (Birmingham) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
Quite possibly the best all-round religious album going I'm an atheist. So why am I reviewing a Christian album? Because I like it! The music is very varied, emotional, relevant, even to those who don't have a God-streak. Some of the songs are exciting, some touching, all moving. What else can I say? I gave it five stars, didn't I? Submitted by Wibbler (Hatfield, England) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No

| | Stan Getz Getz/Gilberto CD (1963)
King Of Fools CD music
$10.79 The record that started the bossa nova craze of the mid-'60s, GETZ-GILBERTO is a justly recognized classic. The disc's success is attributable to its spectacular personnel: the man who basically invented bossa nova, Antonio Carlos Jobim; the man who defined and perfected the genre, Joao Gilberto; his charmingly waifish-sounding wife, Astrud Gilberto; and American tenor saxophonist extraordinaire Stan Getz. Jobim plays guitar and piano; Getz provides remarkably lyrical, complementary lead lines, and Joao Gilberto plays ...

King Of Fools songs

This stunning album is Shirley Horn's loving tribute to her friend and colleague, the legendary late Miles Davis. Davis was so taken by Horn's first album EMBERS AND ASHES that he forced The Village Vanguard to let her virtually-unknown trio open for him during his 1961 run there. Their friendship and admiration for each other's music lasted ...

| | Michiko Ogawa Trio It's All About Love CD (2003)
King Of Fools songs
$9.95 Arbors has become the home of a quality cadre of traditional-minded jazz musicians. While this has made the label ideal for older players like Ruby Braff and Bucky Pizzarelli, Arbors isn't just about nostalgia for traditional jazz. The Michiko Ogawa Trio, for instance, centers on a talented Japanese pianist who's fairly new to the scene. On her first album for the label, It's All About Love, she's joined by bassist Phil Flanigan and ...
| | Another Year On The Streets, Vol. 3 CD (2004)
King Of Fools album
$5.99 The third volume of Vagrant's Another Year on the Streets label compilation series is all unreleased, and flush with additional DVD content. Kicking off with "Exhibit of the Year" from Down to Earth Approach -- a promising young band that sounds like a surgical union of the label's top-line acts -- Another Year moves through a collection of tracks culled from forthcoming releases and stuff unique to itself. Alkaline Trio is convincing and loud covering the Psychedelic Furs' "Heaven," but Autumn to Ashes' run through "Territorial Pissings" is marred by atrocious ...
