Whether you're a fan of her rancheras or baladas or both, you know that Rocio will deliver quality music with her excellent (and forever missed) vocals. This is her 5th album she recorded with Juan Gabriel in 1982, and the 1st(and only) non-mariachi album she made with him. Every song is excellent and the arrangements are 200% top notch. Forget Luis Miguel's 'Romances'-- this album is the original 'Romances' for lovers of classic Spanish romantic music.

 Boleros a lo Dúrcal
Este álbum, poco común, presenta a la voz de la desaparecida Rocío Dúrcal en una adaptación genial al género del Bolero, con un acompañamiento ideado por el Maestro Benjamín "Chamín" Correa. Las letras de Juan Gabriel y el talento de los músicos, le dieron el mejor marco que se podia concebir para esa destacada voz. No hace falta decir que lo recomiendo. Al oirlo uno piensa, que podría ser posible hacer un nuevo álbum con algunos de sus grandes éxitos. Ojalá se cumpla este deseo.

 Excellent rendition of the classic latin ballads !!!!
This definately the best "BOLEROS" album there is. The combination of Rocio Durcal's voice and Juan Gabriel's lyrics, make this an album you must have!!! The trio heard in this album is conducted by Benjamin Correa, who has recently worked with Luis Miguel and others who have made an effort to make a Bolero come-back. Rocio's album is the original "Romances".
