Matenme Porque Me Muero album
$18.59 UMMAGUMMA features a set of live performances on Disc 1 and a collection of solo studio projects by various band members on Disc 2.
Disc 1 was recorded live at Mothers, Birmingham, England and live at The
Party-liners may favor DARK SIDE OF THE MOON, but diehard space cadets recognize UMMAGUMMA as the pinnacle of post-Barrett Floyd's achievement. Originally released as a double LP, the first record is a live recording from 1969, while the second features four extended cuts written by (and featuring) each of the four band members in turn. Eschewing the catchy, Kinks-influenced pop kaleidoscope of the ...

Matenme Porque Me Muero music CDs
$8.29 Having Adrian Belew produce a Caifanes album must have seemed like a great idea, since the Mexican band had a musical attack as accomplished and eclectic as Belew's own work. Unfortunately, the pairing just doesn't strike sparks here. Belew's influence shows up throughout the album, which has more jittery rhythms and odd dissonances than other albums by the band. This works fine on a few cuts, such as the lively "Nubes," but over the course of the album it is a distraction. That sense of musical clutter may also be due to the attempted expansion of the band -- Caifanes picked up two new members on this album. The experiment was evidently a failure, because both were gone by the time the band recorded their next album. It is notable that the most effective song, the spooky title track, is the one that has the simplest arrangement. "Vamos a Hacer un Silencio" is an unnerving ...
| | Caifanes El Nervio Del Volcan CD (1994)
Matenme Porque Me Muero songs
$7.69 The last album released before Caifanes changed their name to Los Jaguares is a triumph of progressive pop-metal entwined with Latin ideas. Though the group is often compared to U2 the two have never sounded less similar; the band developed a harder style here that comes close to early Metallica territory at times. Though Saul Hernandez is a near ...
| | El Equilibrio De Los Jaguares CD (1996)
Matenme Porque Me Muero album
$9.09 As his first recording since the dissolution of the much-loved Mexican rock outfit Caifanes, Saul Hernandez has a whole new set of wings on EL EQUILIBRIO DE LOS JAGUARES. Jaguares is essentially a musical workshop, from the center of which this singer/guitarist/songwriter conceives an ethereal, moody production with the help of a hip studio band (including Caifanes drummer Alfonso ...

| | Luther Allison Reckless CD (1997)
Matenme Porque Me Muero music CDs
$14.25 RECKLESS was nominated for a 1998 Grammy Award for Best Contemporary Blues Album.
Luther's third album for Alligator finds the 50-something bluesman truly at the peak of his powers. His superb guitar playing has never been more focused, and his singing shows a fervent shouter in full command. But Allison's songwriting has made giant strides as well, and ten of the 14 tracks aboard feature him as a co-writer as well. The production by Jim Gaines delivers a modern-sounding album that stays firmly in the blues tradition while giving full vent to Luther's penchant for blending soul, rock and funk grooves into his musical stew. There are really no duff tracks aboard, but special attention should be paid to the sloppy but right slide guitar-meets-rock & roll groove of "Low Down And Dirty," and Allison's incredibly hot minor key soloing (at full rock volume) on "Drowning At The Bottom," an acoustic duet with his son Bernard on "Playin' A Losing Game," and the grinding social commentary of "Pain In The Streets." If Allison had made albums like this for Motown 20-some years ago, it would be very interesting ...
| | Carole King Her Greatest Hits: Songs Of Long Ago CD (1978) Remastered
Matenme Porque Me Muero songs
$6.85 This 1999 reissue contains two bonus tracks previously issued on THE CARNEGIE HALL CONCERT (EK 64942).
Originally released on Ode (JE 34967) and Epic (EK 64942). Includes liner notes by Graham Nash.
Digitally remastered by Vic Anesini (Sony Music Studios, New York, New York).
This expanded CD reissue of a popular vinyl best-of is a succinct 14-track summation of Carole King's eight years at Ode Records. Although the piano-playing singer-songwriter recorded several albums during this period, 1971's TAPESTRY, of course, stands out from the rest. One of the biggest-selling albums of all time, TAPESTRY is also an unqualified artistic success, one of those rare albums whose sales match its quality. Unfortunately, HER GREATEST HITS is rather unfairly skewed towards that towering album, with five of ...
