| | Odetta Sings Dylan CD (1965)
Tale Of Love: Esfahan
$14.29 Personnel: Odetta (vocals, guitar). Upon this album's release in 1965, Bob Dylan must have felt pretty good about himself. Odetta, one of the most indelible performancers of the folk revival (and the original inspiration for Dylan's embracing of folk), turned the tables and embraced him back. While Dylan was already the epicenter of the folk world (and was soon to leave it entirely) and there had already been a spate of Dylan covers released, ODETTA SINGS DYLAN was the first album devoted entirely to the young bard's songs. Hitched to her expressive contralto and the spry leads of Greenwich Village star guitarist, Bruce Langhorne, songs such as "The Times They Are A-Changin'" and "Mr. Tambourine Man" are rendered with an expansive soul and nuanced musicality rare in their original forms. In 2008, the album was reissued with bonus versions of "Blowin' In the Wind" and "Paths of Victory." From 1965, Odetta Sings Dylan was one of the first albums entirely devoted to Bob Dylan interpretations, and one of the best. In part that's because the concept was still actually fresh then; in fact, ...

Tale Of Love: Esfahan
$6.55 One year after the first demo, Hold A Grudge went back to the studio to record 7 new songs. Despite having to overcome a couple of problems (kids, money, lineup changes) they released the new, self-titled album, on June 2006 on Troika Records. This new CD offers 7 new tracks as well as the 3 original songs from the demo.- Brothers In ArmsBecause in the good times as well as the tougher times, we can always count on each other.- Build Something GreatIt's ok complaining about the stuff that pisses you off but at the end of the day it's still just talk. Actions are what make the world go 'round. So let's build something great.- Sellouts"Selling Out: the compromising of one's integrity in exchange for money or other personal gain." - wikipedia.org. Considering the power the press wields, this is scary when it happens to journalists.- AddictEverytime I think T.V. has finally hit the bottom, it manages to get to a new low (how dumb can the next reality show be?) I feel sorry for those addicted to those fucking stupidities.- Reclaim The StreetsIf everyone would just stick together, we could put an end to racism and intimidation. The city is ours, the city is yours, make sure it's never theirs.- Dogs BarkSometimes it seems the coppers are as bored as we are... How many times have they crossed the line between duty and harassment? Just run.- Memories LastAs long as we remember, as long as memories last, a friend never truly dies but lives on in our hearts.- Get OutIf I wanted to go to a fashion show, I'd go to a fucking fashion show. You shallow freaks just get the fuck out.- Not For SaleFuck those motherfuckers trying to cash in with punkrock and hardcore. This ain't about bands making a buck with their music, but ...
