117 minute feature film DVD starring David Arquette and Nev e Campbell. Desperate to escape the demons of her past, Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) discretely cocoons herself in a remote, high-security ranch house in the woods of Northern California, where she works as a phone counselor for a crisis hotline. She's content to remain in quiet seclusion, but finds herself once again facing mortal danger when the masked killer Ghostface (named for the Munch-inspired costume) begins cutting into the cast of STAB 3--the schlocky series of slasher films based upon the Woodsboro and Windsor College murders. One by one STAB 3's stars meet grisly deaths at the hands of the psychopath, who--armed with a cell phone, a copy of the film's screenplay, and an arsenal of B-movie cliches--gleefully hunts down and eviscerates his victims. The killer's modus operandi adheres to the "rules" of engagement codified by the great film trilogies STAR WARS and THE GODFATHER, which dictate that in the third chapter, anything goes. Now Sidney must return to "Woodsboro"--recreated as the set of STAB 3--and team-up with cut-throat reporter Gale Weathers (Courtney Cox), small-town deputy Dwight "Dewey" Riley (David Arquette), Hollywood detective Marc Kincaid (Patrick Dempsey), and the remaining cast of STAB 3 in order to stop the killer before he makes his final cut. Wes Craven's final installment of his highly-successful SCREAM trilogy concludes with a fun, fast, and furious romp that cuts through B-movie cliches as readily as it does the warm flesh of its hip young cast. Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) and friends Gale Weathers and Dwight "Dewey" Riley (Courteney Cox and David Arquette) once again find themselves face to face with a masked psychopath, who's making deadly edits to the cast of STAB 3, the schlocky slasher film based upon Sidney's own "real-life" horrors. Fueled by Ehren Kruger's (ARLINGTON ROAD) snappy script, the third chapter packs a punch with a plenty of turn-on-a-dime plot twists and a high laugh-to-shriek ratio. Scream 3 Movie Review Average Rating: (3.8 out of 5 stars) List All Reviews Great End To A Great Trilogy!! I am a big fan of Scream and Scream 2 and I could not wait to see Scream 3. I was a bit dissapointed that Kevin Williamson didn't write it but it was still a great movie and the end was brilliant. I mostly enjoyed Jennifer's (Parker Posey) part she made the movie so funny. The only bad thing was the lack of blood and the killing scenes were to quick. Well if Wes Craven had restrictions on using blood because of all the school murders in America what can you do. For anyone who has not seen any of the scream trilogy remember this Scream 1 has the best beginning Scream 2 has the best middle and Scream 3 has the best end so watch them all or don't watch them at all. If you don't like the first two don't bother with the third because as i have learned from my cousins they don't get any better just worse but i disagree Scream is the 100% best movie. And one last thing the new voice changer was cool where can I get one. SCREAM RULES. Submitted by Rick (Ohio) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
trilogys trilogys trilogys I am really glad that this saga stayed a trilogy unlike the SAW movies which really should've ended at three instead they blew it out of proportion with 4 and now their coming out with 5.
anyway this scream is better than some of the reviwers below me or above me are giving it credit for. it closed the saga with a bang. Once again you'll never guess who the killer is in this one, which I like. It was a good way to end the series and leave at that. But despite all that, none of the screams can compare with the opening scene with drew barrymore in the first one, that scared me to death.
enjoy scream 3 you'll never guess the ending. Submitted by chris (north carolina) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
Anything with Patrick Muldoon is 5 stars Patrick Muldoon makes any movie worth watching. His brilliant smile, quick wit, and classy demeanor can even make a slasher film worth watching just to catch his scenes. I just wish he made more movies. Instead of picking horror movies and sci-fi flics, he needs to be in an all time WONDERFUL, LOVY DUVY Chic Flic. As you can see, I am a big fan. A great sequal Alot of critics, fans and movie reviewers believe that this is the worst scream of the trilogy. I don't think that this is the case. The fact is that this is not as good as the classic first Scream but I do believe that it's a great film which provided the chronicle ending and gave us all the answers that fans were waiting for. I really liked the ending. The plot to this particular Scream is one of the most intelligent and compelling storylines in horror history. It deals with family, abandonment, fear, murder, rape, sex and lies. Neve Campelle did a great job with all of her scream roles and I believe that she contributed alot to the success with the Scream trilogy due to her great acting. Wes Craven called this the final act which pulled the fans into believing that some more information will be revealed and the conclusion of this great series would be coming to an end. Normally in the 3rd sequel the main character dies, so I was shocked when I found out that not only Neve Campell survived, but ended up killing the killer for the 3rd consecutive time. Gale and Dewey also survived which showed that good always wins evil at the end of a horror series. The supporting actors in Scream 3 didn't really do a great job and the murders in this Scream were not as innovative as the murders shown in Scream 1 and 2. However this is still an intelligent horror movie making the Scream trilogy one of the most successfull trilogys in movie history and cementing Wes Craven as one of the greatest horror directors in the world. Weak Scream was a good movie i liked some of the deaths. Scream 2 is the best. Scream 3 was really weak. It was okay but i wouldn't buy it. The only thing i liked about it was that Deon Richmond (the black guy) was in it. He made it kind of funny, even though he died. Submitted by mikebville (Dover, PA, USA) Was This Review Helpful?
