The Mesner Tracks gathers 15 :wumpscut: tracks previously available in the U.S. only on import compilations and non-LP singles. Like much of the group's work, it combines industrial harshness with a cold, Gothic sensibility. ~ Steve Huey

Wumpscut Mesner Tracks Songs Mesner Tracks Music Review Average Rating: (4.7 out of 5 stars) Amazing This is one amazing cd. Remixes of those tracks have pumped it up another level, which I didnt think was possible to begin with. The intro to the whole album caught me off guard, and hooked me immediately. A definate own for any Industrial fan. Submitted by shovelfaceband (Vancouver BC) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
wow... Definately for long-time fans who are familiar with Rudy's work. If you happen to like darker, droning melodies with no vocals, then "Ceremony" alone is worth picking this one up, and the reason I gave this a 5. Probably the creepiest :W: track I've heard to date. Restricted area : enter at your own risks ! The Mesner Tracks is a true-fan-only kind of CD. It contains some really hard-to-find tracks along with interesting alternate/demo versions of quite known :WUMSPCUT: material. Most of the listeners will find the CD boring as rain or just not as good as what Rudy Ratzinger use to release under WUMPSCUT name. Keep in mind that The Mesner Tracks is a package offering early recordings... So don't expect something as consistent as his later accomplishments.
If you like :WUMSPCUT: already, you might find this CD good and revealing about Ratzinger's first attempts in Industrial music. But if you have just heard a couple of songs here and there or you're not quite familiar with :WUMPSCUT:, then forget about it... You might want to buy it later after you pass through all his other CDs. Submitted by thegrey (Sherbrooke, QC) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No

| | Stan Getz Reflections CD (1964) Remastered; Digipak
Mesner Tracks songs
$9.89 Though in 1963 some purists considered Reflections to be certain evidence that Stan Getz had sold out and abandoned "real jazz" completely, the album is actually, while perhaps not a masterpiece, an artful and intriguing sidebar to the tenor saxophonist's now celebrated bossa nova period. Getz was always a sublimely smooth and lyrical player who had already recorded in an orchestral setting on the groundbreaking Focus, and had a number one pop hit with Jazz Samba. It was only natural, then, that he would want to combine the two concepts. Although Reflections does at times bear the slight stench of easy listening (sweeping strings, a Lawrence Welk-like vocal chorus), it's definitely not elevator music. Getz is in as fine form as ever, and the restrictive pop-based song structures challenge him to use his creative faculties in interesting ways. It's a true master musician who can make Bob Dylan's "Blowin' in the Wind" swing without descending into schmaltzy Trini Lopez territory or losing any of the tune's original melancholic urgency. There are a few tracks, of course, where Getz jumps back into a more straight-ahead and cool jazz bag. The Lalo Schifrin tune "Nitetime Street" features an appropriately bluesy and brooding guitar solo from Kenny Burrell, and Getz's take on "Love" is a wild Latin romp that matches the vitality of anything on his Gilberto/Jobim collaborations. A highly underrated and oft-ignored album, Reflections should be re-evaluated and viewed ...
| | John Hall Rock Me On The Water CD (2005)
Mesner Tracks album
$12.89 Rock Me on the Water finds Orleans founder (and accomplished sailor) John Hall riding the waves of inspiration brought on during a two-year sea voyage spent aboard his 39-foot cutter, Athena. As expected, the album is loaded with songs that contemplate the romance of the sea, the freedom of the open ocean, troubles along the way, and the eventual longing for home. In fact, that is exactly how it's sequenced -- as a document of his oceanic journey from beginning to end. Between the restless longing of the Jackson Browne-penned opener, "Rock Me on the Water," and Jules Shear's plaintive, homeward-heading "Every Place," ...

$12.15 Billy Buchanan BioFor nearly a decade, *Dove Award nominee Billy Buchanan and his band Fusebox have lead worship in countries throughout the world, released two full length albums and an EP, and appeared on various worship compilations. For three years, Billy also toured as the guitarist for Grammy Award winner Rebecca St. James. In early 2007, Billy made a surprise decision to take a position as the Worship Director at Good News Church in St. Augustine, Florida. Billy explains, “It was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I wanted to speak into the lives of a body of believers on a daily basis and this allows me to do that. What an awesome privilege it is to be able to lead God’s people in worship.” Billy Buchanan’s mix of acoustic guitars, funky bass lines, soulful vocals, hypnotic beats, and worshipful lyrics, are a contagious combination. Having endured an abusive father, poverty, and eventually his parent's divorce, Billy encourages listeners with songs of worship, hope, and restoration. He describes his music as a blend of “concrete and dirt.” He explains, “I was raised in Cleveland, OH, but my family was originally from Georgia, and brought a lot of that culture with them. I would hear pop, hip-hop, and dance music on the street, but at home and at my grandparent’s houses, I would hear soul, country, and gospel. It all rubbed off on me.” In the summer of 2007, Billy released his first solo album, “Transparent” and in the fall of 2008, he released a much anticipated live album, “Beautiful ...
