It starts with an This concert will transport viewers back in time to October 31, 1959. Every year from 1952 to 1961, a theatre in the Compton suburb of LA hosted California's biggest musical "barn dance." Staged to resemble an actual barn, the town hall exploded with crowds of over 2000 fans eager to see the biggest names in country music. Broadcast originally on KFI, and later through syndication on NBC, the show hosted an all-star in-house band, as well as its many big-name guests. This special Halloween set includes performances by Cliff Crofford and Billy Mize, Skeets McDonald, Jeannie Sterling, Tex Ritter, Fiddlin Kate, The Browns, Joe Maphis, Shirley Adams, Jimmy Pruitt, Johnny Bond, and Charlie Williams.
