Mediocre Definitely if you want to enjoy good! Led Zeppelin music watch/buy Led Zeppelin (the new dvd w/ 5.5 hrs of concerts and extra footage) Excellent. On this dvd, songs are too drawn out and get quite boring. As for the little "movies" that Robert, Jimmy, John Paul, and John play in...uh, are simply useless and uneventful. Great Rockumentary- Bad audio transfer Hang on to your VHS copy!!!!!!
This is a classic film despite the negative reviews this is a time capsule film.However-
The Audio for this DVD is horrible only a thin, brittle 2ch stereo track. If you want an example of what it could have been listen to the other 2dvd set version of Since I'e been Loving You.
Wait for Jimmy to redo this one .The VHS and i'm sure the laserdisc have a thicker beefier sound. And whats worse the louder I turned it up the worse it got!
Great Looking Video transfer though. Submitted by drew (florida) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
descent for zeppelin I'm a huge fan of Led Zeppelin like so many other people, and I find it hard to believe John Paul Jones not getting any credit with showing him playing up close. That goes for most of the camera work. Show the musicians playing their instruments, not the expressions on their faces Submitted by zola (Flint, MI, USA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No

Song Remains The Same film
$11.18 Rockin' is Greg Leskiw's last of three albums with the Guess Who; he came onboard with Kurt Winter for Share the Land and recorded So Long, Bannatyne as well, the two men slipping into the big shoes of Randy Bachman. This finds Burton Cummings in a definite '50s mode, "Running Bear" and "Nashville Sneakers" being throwbacks to another time. When "Herbert's a Loser" kicks, one can't help but feel it's been enough already, "Herbert's a Loser" being the one tune composed by the Winter/Leskiw guitar team. The album predominantly features the songwriting of Cummings, though Kurt Winter does lend a generous hand. As an artistic statement it's all very interesting, but for a band whose bread and butter was the Top 40, this stuff tempts fate a bit too much. Jerry Lee Lewis released an album with the same title the same year, 1972. Lots of artists released albums titled Rockin', in fact: Frankie Laine back in 1957 and the Drifters with Rockin' & Driftin' in 1964, among many, many others. The nostalgia aside, "Heartbroken Bopper" is a true original and an almost-hit single. If you think Aerosmith ripped off David Bowie's "Fame," you're only half right; they stole the melody from the Guess Who: Aerosmith got the melody for "Last Child" directly from "Heartbroken Bopper."
Along with the musical about-face, this is also the darkest Guess Who album, featuring a black-and-white cover and a black-and-white gatefold, and when the band's not back in the past, pre-color TV, they are doing boogie-woogie like "Get Your Ribbons On" or going negative with "Guns, Guns, Guns." "Guns, Guns, Guns" does have a terrific melody (though you'll swear Aerosmith ...
| | Black Eyed Peas E.N.D. (Energy Never Dies) CD (2009)
Song Remains The Same review
$10.49 Black Eyed Peas, the hip-hop crossover juggernaut that propelled singer Fergie and producer Will.I.Am to superstardom, have, since 2003's ELEPHUNK, been audaciously plugging away at their bombastic but lighthearted style of rap-cum-dance pop--an effort that has translated to a run of successful chart-topping singles including "My Humps," "Pump It," and "Don't Phunk with My Heart." Eager to follow up on the platinum-selling success of 2005's MONKEY BUSINESS, Black Eyed Peas have returned with THE E.N.D. (an acronym for "Energy Never Dies"), their third studio effort. Combining Will.I.Am's thumping 808 kick drum-infused beats with production assistance from a host of collaborators (including vocoder-loving Torontoians MSTRKRFT and French house veteran David Guetta), BEP's infectious party-time rhymes are an easy ...

| | Alice Cooper Love It To Death CD (1971) Gold
Song Remains The Same video
$20.29 Whereas Alice Cooper's first two studio albums, 1969's PRETTIES FOR YOU and 1970's EASY ACTION, tended more towards the trippy excesses of the hippie era, their next one, 1971's LOVE IT TO DEATH introduced the world to the heavy sound that Cooper would soon be taking to the top. With the invaluable production assistance of future Pink Floyd/Lou Reed cohort Bob Ezrin, LOVE IT TO DEATH proved Alice Cooper's first truly great album, and served as their commercial breakthrough.
That staple of teen alienation, "I'm Eighteen," is the most iconic cut, but every single track on LOVE IT TO DEATH is outstanding. Plenty of other Cooper favorites are included--the candid "Is It My Body," the grim theatrics of "Ballad of Dwight Fry" (a slightly misspelled homage to the horror-film actor), the powerful opener "Caught In A Dream," and the tuneful afterglow of the closer "Sun Arise." With pretentious prog-rock ...
