2 stars Mediocre
Definitely if you want to enjoy good! Led Zeppelin music watch/buy Led Zeppelin (the new dvd w/ 5.5 hrs of concerts and extra footage) Excellent. On this dvd, songs are too drawn out and get quite boring. As for the little "movies" that Robert, Jimmy, John Paul, and John play in...uh, are simply useless and uneventful.

2 stars Great Rockumentary- Bad audio transfer
Hang on to your VHS copy!!!!!! This is a classic film despite the negative reviews this is a time capsule film.However- The Audio for this DVD is horrible only a thin, brittle 2ch stereo track. If you want an example of what it could have been listen to the other 2dvd set version of Since I'e been Loving You. Wait for Jimmy to redo this one .The VHS and i'm sure the laserdisc have a thicker beefier sound. And whats worse the louder I turned it up the worse it got! Great Looking Video transfer though.

3 stars descent for zeppelin
I'm a huge fan of Led Zeppelin like so many other people, and I find it hard to believe John Paul Jones not getting any credit with showing him playing up close. That goes for most of the camera work. Show the musicians playing their instruments, not the expressions on their faces

2 stars Hey Jimmy, why not use your re-mastering skills on this!
We thought for so long that this was all there was in terms of video of Zeppelin. And what a festering turd it is! Besides how people generally dislike the "fantasy" sequences, the SOUND QUALITY STILL BLOWS!!!!!!! When this was origianlly released, as well as the subsequent soundtrack, Jimmy page admitted that a whole side of the stereo mix was missing, so they just fudged it. Sound was and is just awful. It is something, because these shows really were a low compared to how Zeppelin COULD shine during a live performance. Here, Plant's voice is COMPLETELY shot. We all know there is more stuff. Why did Jimmy Page not release it all??

Deluxe Edition Personnel: Tom Araya (vocals); Jeff Hanneman, Kerry King (guitar); Dave Lombardo (drums).
Audio Mixer: Greg Fidelman.

Of the "big four" original thrash bands (the other three being Metallica, Anthrax, and Megadeth), Slayer was the least compromising and most consistent. As such, 2009's WORLD PAINTED BLOOD recalled more than the title of Slayer's 1986 masterpiece REIGN IN BLOOD; it shared the earlier album's ferocious aggression and trademark speed metal-meets-hardcore sound. Throughout, the sound is lean and mean, with bassist/vocalist Tom Araya's vocals mixed relatively dry and upfront, giving the album a bracing, fist-to-the-face force. Jackhammer tracks such as "Hate Worldwide" and "Psychopathy Red" are short, no muss-no fuss blasts of double kick drum, minor key-riffing fury, with an unrelenting intensity that requires little in the way of sonic or textural variation. The title track, on the other hand, is a somewhat slower dose of classic chugga-chugga head-banging which showcases Kerry King and Jeff Hanneman's shrieking, emotive guitar work. Remaining true to Slayer's defiantly ...

Black Eyed Peas, the hip-hop crossover juggernaut that propelled singer Fergie and producer Will.I.Am to superstardom, have, since 2003's ELEPHUNK, been audaciously plugging away at their bombastic but lighthearted style of rap-cum-dance pop--an effort that has translated to a run of successful chart-topping singles including "My Humps," "Pump It," and "Don't Phunk with My Heart." Eager to follow up on the platinum-selling success of 2005's MONKEY BUSINESS, Black Eyed Peas have returned with THE E.N.D. (an acronym for "Energy Never Dies"), their third studio effort. Combining Will.I.Am's thumping 808 kick drum-infused beats with production assistance from a host of collaborators (including vocoder-loving Torontoians MSTRKRFT and French house veteran David Guetta), BEP's infectious party-time rhymes are an easy match for the album's Ed Banger-style of ...

Includes liner notes by Kevin Phinney.
Digitally remastered by Bill Inglot & Dan Hersch.
Personnel: Otis Redding (vocals); Carla Thomas (vocals).
Liner Note Author: Kevin Phinney.
The Very Best of Otis Redding wasn't the first Otis Redding compilation but it is the best of the single-disc collections, distilling the high points across his career (up thru the posthumous hits "(Sitting' On) The Dock of the Bay" and the heartbreaking "I've Got Dreams to Remember") in 16 tracks, every one a musical milestone and a soul music high-point of one kind or another. Although aimed at the casual listener and the neophyte fan, there are some astonishing realizations to be had in listening to this disc and looking at the chart placements of the early sides, and realizing just how uniform his musical influence is -- "These Arms of Mine" and, especially, "Pain In My Heart," from 1962 and 1963, respectively, sold only a fraction of what his later singles did, yet they've been covered by so many artists since, that they're as familiar as any of the other, bigger hits on this disc. The collection is hardly comprehensive, but all of the major bases are touched, right down to his 1967 hit duet "Tramp" with Carla Thomas. The other advantage, especially ...
