Ladyhawke Movie Review Average Rating: (4.3 out of 5 stars) Just the Best This is my favorite movie of all time.
I bought it in VHS twice, and have lent it to people, it doesn't get returned.
So now I have the DVD that I'm keeping.
The music, the scenery, the dialogue, and the plot are excellent. Submitted by oconnors (Los Osos, CA. USA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No 1 of 2 found this helpful.
Very Entertaining I watched the movie few times on local television. So I had to buy the dvd. I thought the story was well put together. If you look at the movie, it had a little bit of everything. Action, a little drama, romance, but the movie is made for the whole family. I also thought the music was entertaining. Submitted by a reviewer (Spring Hill, Fl) Was This Review Helpful? easily hauer's best work broderick & hauer have an excellant chemistry. hauer can never be accused of being a top notch actor, but his style fits nicely against the annoying character (great acting by broderick) of the mouse. Thanks for no cheating I like the movie. But what I also like is that while the disc is inexpensive it didn't stoop so low as to merely put black bars over the top and bottom of a pan and scan version of the movie and say it's the original theatrical aspect ratio like so many others.(How do we stop this!) The picture is a little too dark sometimes and there's specs and flecks in a scene or two but over all this isn't bad. The black levels are good and the outdoor scenes like sunsets look good and it's commendable like most DVD's in that there's a noticable improvement over video cassette versions. Now if we could just stop them from cheating with the aspect ratio the DVD format would be even better. I personally feel ripped off on occasion, but what can you do? At 10 dollars this didn't do it. The picture quality I referred to is the widescreen version being better than the full frame like most DVDs.But the cheating should stop. $8.55 In Tim Burton's stylish, creepy retelling of the classic Washington Irving story, SLEEPY HOLLOW, Ichabod Crane (Johnny Depp) is a squeamish, bookish 18th century New York City investigator sent to a small town in lower Westchester county to look into three mysterious decapitations. When the always rational Crane arrives at the little Dutch village, he finds that most of the townsfolk believe the culprit to be the Headless Horseman, the ghost of a monstrous Hessian soldier (Christopher Walken), who seems to be mysteriously tied in to one of the town's most prominent families. Burton's ...

$12.85 The feature film debut of Hayao Miyazaki (NAUSICAÄ OF THE VALLEY OF THE WIND, PRINCESS MONONOKE), THE CASTLE OF CAGLIOSTRO depicts one adventure of the master thief Lupin and his rough-around-the-edges gunman, Jigen. Something of a cross between Batman, James Bond, and Cary Grant's character in TO CATCH A THIEF, Lupin is a suave ladies' man who is also given to feats of athletic daring, aided by a gadget filled belt that gets him out of more than a few scrapes. The plot has Lupin and Jigen traveling to the sleepy little country of Cagliostro and coming to the aid of the unwilling fiance of the diabolical Count Cagliostro. After CAGLIOSTRO, Miyazaki stopped creating "slapstick" feature films in favor of more serious fare; CAGLIOSTRO shows, however, that he is quite capable of delivering the goods in this genre. Based on the Lupin comics ...

Months later Dr. Crowe encounters Cole Sear (Haley Joel Osment), a troubled, withdrawn young boy who bears a striking similarity to his earlier patient. Dr. Crowe is compelled to help Cole, not only for the boy's sake, but for his own redemption. As Dr. Crowe struggles to determine what torments Cole, he must also come to terms with his increasingly distant relationship to his wife (Olivia Williams). Meanwhile, Cole is unable to describe the horrible things he sees even to his worried mother (Toni Collette). The scene where Cole finally tells Dr. Crowe about his supernatural secret is one of the 1990s most quoted and well-known cinematic moments.
