| DVD is not widescreen
This DVD is not in a widescreen format. Do not purchase it unless you enjoy having the sides of the picture cut off. Truly a piece of junk!

| Romance abounds
This is one of the best romantic movies ever made in my opinon. I cried from almost beginning to end. Meryle and Clint at their best!

| Totally Miscast
I was forced to watch this movie twice in one day on an excursion to Madison County, so that may have colored my opinion. Ms. Streep is a fine actress, but whoever told her she could do an Italian accent, was wrong. It wavered between Eastern European/Russian to no accent at all. Mr. Eastwood was way too old for the part, although he looked very nice with his shirt off. The supporting characters were wooden in the extreme. The fine people of Madison County deserved better than this.

| I cannot belive this
I am a Eastwood fan and really did'nt expect too much from this movie. What I can't belive is that I did something I very rarely do CRY! I love this move I can't belive I still am a softy at times. If you are looking for a good drama with a fantasy I would highly recommending picking this one up. The acting and directing is excellent. This is a Eastwood classic.

This is simply one of, if not, the best love stories in the history of love stories ever told. Clint and Meryl give performances of their lives bringing this true story to life. This movie will test your lives decisions like no other. If you dont cry while watching this movie you better check into the county morge. I will never forget this movie or the emotions that it stirs inside ones soul.
