Closed Captioned; Standard Screen; Soundtrack English; Soundtrack Spanish; Dolby Digital 5.1 Re Action guru Seagal goes rustic as a hard-line EPA agent who brings his own brand of environmental justice to bear upon waste-dumping corporate baddies in a run-down Kentucky mining town. When not bringing villains to their knees, he befriends a band of locals and empowers them to stand up for their rights. Features bits from country music luminaries Levon Helm, Randy Travis, and Travis Tritt. Fire Down Below Reviews: "...A superior Seagal film, a smooth blend of action, character and noble environmental message..."

$10.55 After making several violent Hong Kong action films in the style that's come to be known as heroic bloodshed, Ringo Lam came to Hollywood to make his first American film with Belgian martial arts star Jean-Claude Van Damme. MAXIMUM RISK, like Van Damme's previous DOUBLE IMPACT, is the story of twin brothers. Unlike the earlier film--in which he played brothers with contrasting characters--here he's a French policeman, Alain Moreau, who takes on the identity of his dead brother, Mikhail. They were separated at birth when their mother, Chantal, played by veteran French film actress Stephane Audran, gave one up for adoption to a Russian diplomat. He grew up to become ...

$23.45 TIGERLAND: TIGERLAND is set in 1971, when America was a nation divided over the escalating violence and bloodshed of the Vietnam War, and when thousands of young soldiers had already lost their lives to the war and thousands more were preparing to enter combat. In Fort Polk, Louisiana, a group of young soldiers-in-training has conflicting opinions about the war. Jim Paxton (Matthew Davis) is a romantic idealist who sees Vietnam as potential inspiration for future novels and romantic war stories. Roland Bozz (Colin Farrell) is a rebellious antihero who decides that he wants no part of the army or the war and begins to disobey orders, trying to get expelled from the infantry. Paxton and Bozz become leaders to a small group of young draftees, and Bozz inspires them to question authority. As they enter Tigerland--a training process in which the soldiers simulate combat in the Louisiana wilderness--the men begin to realize just how far they will go to stay out of the war. This gritty, documentary-like vision of the war is moving and engaging, employing natural lighting, handheld cameras, and realistic dialogue to encapsulate the deeply internalized psychological journeys of the characters. Irishman Farrell gives a breakout performance as Bozz, full of with intense charisma and brooding outlaw heroism.
DAREDEVIL: The latest Marvel Comics superhero to hit the big screen is Daredevil (Ben Affleck), a man blinded by a radioactive chemical accident as a young boy but left with superhuman senses and agile acrobatic ability. Like his Marvel compatriot Spider-Man, Daredevil attempts to lead a normal life by day as Matt Murdock, a Hell's Kitchen defense attorney. By night Matt becomes Daredevil, a brooding superhero fighting for justice in the dark and squalid New York streets overrun with vermin and criminal injustice. Wearing a red leather suit and mask, Daredevil leaps from high skyscrapers and tracks his enemies with his radar-like vision, punishing those who are guilty but whom he cannot tackle in the courtroom. At the center of the city's villainous underbelly is Daredevil's nemesis, Kingpin (Michael Clarke Duncan), and his psychotic, knife-wielding deputy-assassin, Bullseye (Colin Farrell). Daredevil fights their powerful forces alone, until he meets Elektra Natchios (Jennifer Garner of ALIAS fame), a skilled martial artist and sexy superheroine who is after Bullseye and Kingpin for murdering her father. Sparks fly as the two heroes take on the underlords of crime together in this action-packed adventure fantasy that will surely delight fans of SPIDER-MAN, X-MEN, or BATMAN.
PHONE BOOTH: Joel Schumacher (8 MM, FALLING DOWN) directs this suspense drama set in New York City's Times Square. A wannabe hotshot entertainment publicist who's more intent on posturing for his unpaid assistant than he is in actually working, Stu Shepherd (Colin Farrell) ducks into a phone booth to make his regular afternoon call to his young girlfriend (Katie Holmes). Stu stops in the same phone booth at the same time every day to flirt with the girl, who does not know that Stu is happily married with no intention of dating her seriously. When Stu ...
