This 94 minute PG-13 rated DVD musical film featurs Rick M oranis, Steve Martin, Ellen Greene and Bill Murray in this strange tale of a skid row florist and his man-eating plant . Based on the Roger Corman cult classic, LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS slams together twisted humor, a singing plant, a sadistic dentist, and sweet and oblivious love between two skid-row denizens into a rollicking musical well worth watching again and again. Rick Moranis and Ellen Greene portray perfectly clumsy Seymour and bubbly but easily dominated Audrey as they search for a way off skid row. A strange and unusual plant Seymour found after an eclipse might be their ticket out, but the plant Seymour calls Audrey II also desires a strange and unusual food: blood. Audrey's abusive boyfriend, Orin, a dentist who enjoys inflicting pain (played to the hilt by Steve Martin), is the first to go, but who will be next? And will Audrey II's hunger ever end?
Moranis and Greene sing with verve and passion, making each song a joy, and the cartoonish sets recall a stage musical even as Frank Oz wields the camera skillfully to make the most of the movie format. Fans of musicals shouldn't miss this movie, and nonfans will soon be converts.
In this dark but goofy and thoroughly fun musical, shy Seymour and bubbly Audrey don't recognize the romance blooming between them, but they do recognize the money-making potential of Seymour's weird plant, discovered after a total eclipse of the sun. Soon money pours in and Seymour becomes a minor celebrity, but behind the glamour and fame lies a secret Seymour can't reveal: this strange and unusual plant's favorite food is blood. As the plant grows taller and taller, its demands for food grow as well, and Seymour starts to suspect that the plant might have an agenda for world domination.
LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS was originally a 1960 movie directed by Roger Corman, and became an off-Broadway stage musical before Oz's film version.
The movie originally ended with Seymour and Audrey being eaten by the plant, but preview audience's negative reaction encouraged Oz to shoot a new ending.
Levi Stubbs, who did Audrey II's voice, is a member of the Four Tops.
Little Shop Of Horrors Reviews: "...A full-blown movie musical, and quite a winning one....It's not hard to understand this good-natured material's durability..."
-- Janet Maslin, New York Times "...[The] tech credits are excellent....[The] camerawork suggests a world like no other....On film the numbers are impressive set pieces, imaginatively staged with wonderful sets..."
-- Jagr., Variety "...Grandly loony, full-bodied and explosively funny. It's a movie that connects with its audience in a big way....The actors and lines are on target, the music has a swing and bite, the camera seems exuberant..."
-- Michael Wilmington, Los Angeles Times "[T]he movie is one of the better movie musicals produced in our largely post-movie-musical era."

Old but Great Movie I had watched this many times on VHS when it first came out. I decided to get it on DVD and revisit it. It is a great musical. A few scenes is a little mature for small children but overall it a movie the whole family can enjoy. Submitted by hrm366 (Sunrise, Florida) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
Another great musical. One of the best musical movies made. I enjoyed this version better than the earlier version. Submitted by a reviewer (Yukon, OK, USA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
Terrific Having come to this movie late (sometime in 2000 for the first time) even though I've known of it since it was released in cinemas, I can only say that it is a marvelous, fun romp through the sci-fi musical genre. Excellent songs and excellent user of the original Roger Corman story line shot in the early 60's. The movie is an outstanding example of how to translate the stage to film (another is West Side Story, but that is another story...). Overall, well worth the money Submitted by a reviewer (New South Wales, Australia) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
Very Good Movie I really enjoy this movie. It is a great price, at under $10. It is even widescreen, which usually you have to pay extra for. I would recommend buying this movie from this vendor. Submitted by Chris (Buffalo, NY) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No

Little Shop Of Horrors review
$6.39 The third installment in the "Nightmare on Elm Street" series. In a medical facility, seven teenagers who have constant nightmares about child murderer Freddy Krueger undergo monitoring for sleep disorders. But nothing that anyone does seems to help them -- until Nancy Thompson, the heroine of the first movie, joins the medical staff. She suggests that they try a new drug, which inhibits dreaming, on the youngsters. The gullible doctor-in-charge opposes this treatment, forcing Nancy to fight both him and a suspicious nurse in order to save the teens. Meanwhile, Freddy gleefully unleashes one horror-filled image after another to traumatize the patients ... till they fear that this is one nightmare they'll never wake up from again.

$6.39 Freddy's back, only this time he's not confined to dreams in this macabre film within a film. Heather Langenkamp, star of the original NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET, along with other actors and director Craven all appear as themselves. When Heather's husband is mysteriously killed her son begins to have disturbing nightmares, culminating in a bizarre encounter with the fictional boogeyman. As self-referential as Craven's SCREAM movies, but much more serious and creepy. Some scenes shot on location near the aftermath of the 1994 Northridge earthquake.

| | Ozzy Osbourne Ozzmosis CD (1995) Remastered
Little Shop Of Horrors video
$7.59 Let us all be thankful that Ozzy's retirement didn't stick. It supposedly lasted for three days, after which he got bored and started working on this project. Heavy, riff-intensive tunes, progressive song structures and a little psychedelia give OZZMOSIS a definite Sabbath flavor. Ozzy must have been in touch with whatever inspired early classics like PARANOID and MASTERS OF REALITY. Witness the extremely chunky "Thunder Underground," which can stand up next to "Sweet Leaf" and "Symptom Of The Universe" as an archetype of hard rock. The trippy guitar in "Ghost Behind My Eyes" and "Denial" are not some young Ozzy-wannabe going for a retro sound--this man was there, "Planet Caravan"ing.
Still, this heavy metal daddy in touch with his roots is also hip to the genre's latest sound. OZZMOSIS has a live, up-front feeling, thanks to producer Michael Beinhorn (Red Hot Chili Peppers, Soundgarden). Zakk Wylde's huge, raw guitar also plays a major role. He provides scorching solos, lush textures and juicy fills with a muscular tone and minimal effects--the perfect complements to Osbourne's songwriting.
But more important than the raging guitars and the big sound is attitude. Ozzy's spunk has indeed rejected retirement. His songs still spew biting commentary at whoever will listen. "Your bulls**t culture licking can't stop the deathwatch ticking/You're only mortal after all," he warns on "Thunder Underground." Ozzy himself may not be immortal, but OZZMOSIS sounds like it is.
Despite a never-ending succession of guitarists, Ozzy Osbourne never changed his basic musical attack over the years. There are slight differences between the records, with the only noticeable distinctions being the production fads of the time. Ozzmosis, his sixth solo studio album, isn't all that different from his previous two records, No More Tears and No Rest for the Wicked, largely due to the still impressive skills of guitarist Zakk Wylde. However, even Wylde's prowess is diluted by the slick, mode
| | Ozzy Osbourne The Ozzman Cometh CD (2002)
Little Shop Of Horrors film
$9.69 THE OZZMAN COMETH is a single CD collection of hits, previously unavailable recordings and one new track. Previously included a limited edition second disc containing 2 of the 4 previously unavailable recordings as well as an interview with Ozzy Osbourne.
As if we needed another reason to believe that Ozzy Osbourne is God, along comes THE OZZMAN COMETH, a double CD retrospective of one of the most enduring and influential figures in heavy metal. Consisting mostly of his post-Black Sabbath solo work as well as a live version of "Paranoid," this collection's biggest asset is the so-called "basement tapes," never-before-heard rehearsal tapes of four classic Sabbath songs. Dating back to 1970, "Black Sabbath" and "War Pigs" are the songs that transformed a petty thief from Birmingham, England into the godfather of heavy metal.
But if Sabbath cemented his place in the rock 'n' roll canon, his solo work raised him to legendary status. Working with former Quiet Riot guitarist Randy Rhoads, Osbourne set the tone for the 80's metal revival with songs like "Crazy Train" and "Mr. Crowley." Capping off the collection is a seventeen minute interview with Ozzy from 1988, where he speaks frankly about the ups and downs in his career (parents be forewarned: this is not for the faint of heart). Ozzy has made it through all the pitfalls of a life in rock and roll and has come out on the other side redeemed and renewed.
Recorded between 1970 & 1995.

| | Until The Night DVD (2005) Widescreen
Little Shop Of Horrors video
$10.05 A movie straight out of the independent film world, UNTIL THE NIGHT is a beguiling character study that revolves around party-animal Robert (Norman Reedus). Robert is a down-on-his-luck writer whose personal and professional life has ground to an abrupt halt. But his life is energized somewhat when he embarks on a torrid affair with a married woman named Elizabeth (Kathleen Robertson). This doesn't halt Robert's dangerous dalliances with drugs and hardcore partying however, and eventually adds to his worries as Elizabeth has to face her status and make some tough decisions. Shot entirely on digital video by writer-director Gregory Hatanaka, UNTIL THE NIGHT is a low budget indie treat.
An intimate portrait of three lives on the brink of emotional and spiritual explosion. Hedonistic Robert (Norman Reedus, BOONDOCK SAINTS, MIMIC) circulates in a BLOW UP-style world of models, sex, drugs and fashion photography while engaging in an affair with an isolated married woman. Also starring Kathleen Robertson (Beverly Hills 90210, Scary Movie 2), Sean Young and Michael T. Weiss (TV's The Pretender).
