Closed Captioned; Second Audio Track; Soundtrack English; Director's Comments; Dolby Digital 5.1 Re Ever since the day a drunk driver killed Freddy's Gale's 7-year-old daughter, Gale has been consumed with grief and revenge. So, shortly after the driver, John Booth, is released from prison, Gale attempts to murder him. He fails in this task, but informs Booth that he will certainly return in three days to complete the job.
During this period, however, Gale grows ever more emotionally erratic. He finally realizes he must confront his many demons... before his downward spiral results in the death of others. After a hit-and-run takes the life of a man's daughter, breaking his heart and destroying his marriage, he plots revenge on the man who did it. When the driver is released from prison six years later, the two men find themselves on a fateful collision course. Penned by Penn, in a nod to French New Waver Claude Chabrol's similarly gripping "This Man Must Die." Shown at the 1995 Venice and Toronto Film Festivals.
Released theatrically in New York and Los Angeles November 15,
1995. The film grossed $868,979 domestically.

Crossing Guard Movie Review Average Rating: (5 out of 5 stars) Heartwrenching If you have ever had your heartbroken; if you have ever held a grudge; if you have ever been afraid or wanted to mend a relationship but didn't know how, then this movie will tell your story in some little way. Crazy I know, but I think this is Jack Nicolson's greatest role. At the least you will cry, at the most you will be moved to make amends or forgive someone. Watch it.... Own it. Now this was something else... I just watched this movie on tv last night and I am still moved by it. This movie manages to steer clear of all typical stereotypes of Hollywood movies. There is no black&white good and bad, just unfortunate accidents and incidents. I think this is the most humane and touching movie about forgiving I have seen for years. I wont give away the details of the plot here. Just go and see it yourself.
(And in case you're wondering I am a man.)

Powerful! This is an excellent film! Jack Nicholson, as usual, is outstanding! The casting is wonderful and Penn did an exceptional job writing. I enjoyed the suspense being mixed in with tearjerking moments. This rare combination makes the movie very unique! Submitted by a reviewer (Armonk, NY, USA) Was This Review Helpful? Crossing Guard movie DVD
$6.29 The success of BATMAN has lead to an incredible array of different incarnations for the Caped Crusader. Various feature film efforts have emphasized the darker side of Bruce Wayne's alter-ego (Tim Burton and Christopher Nolan's efforts in particular), while the original TV show was a deliriously camp affair. The animated BATMAN BEYOND TV show proves to be an entertaining addition to the canon, and the esteem in which it is held has resulted in a full-length animated escapade for the superhero, titled THE RETURN OF THE JOKER. With Bruce Wayne retired, Terry McGinnis takes up the Batman mantle, and dons the famous costume to go into battle with arch enemy, The Joker. When The Joker goes after the aging Wayne and almost kills him, McGinnis swears to bring down the fiendish villain once and for all. His quest reveals some fascinating facts about the history of the Batman/Joker rivalry, and leads to a valuable ...
