Wild Child songs Product Information
Wild Child album for sale by Valerie Carter was released Dec 20, 1993 on the Sony Music label. Wild Child, Valerie Carter's 1978 follow-up to her debut Just a Stone Throw's Away, was clearly designed to broaden whatever audience she may have had gained in the prior year. Really, she didn't make that big of an impact in 1978 -- the debut peaked at 1982 and spent five weeks on the chart without generating a single hit -- but it was enough to hold out the possibility that she could go further. Wild Child CD music contains a single disc with 10 songs. ...See Full Description

||Wild Child a Gem from the late '70's|
An Jazzy R&B and Rock tinged record from the late 1970's, this little Gem by Valerie Carter (Long time back-up Singer from James Taylor's band) has never been released in the United States on CD. You can only get this on a Japenese Import. It was Produced by James Newton Howard and it's just a lot of fun to listen to this again after all these years. This was played a lot on College radio stations in it's day and Valerie had quite a cult following in her day. It's quite different from her first record but still very enjoyable. Highly recommended.

||Great eclectic album|
Not quite as good as "Just a Stone's Throw Away" but still outstanding. She should have made it big but still has had an outstanding career as a background vocalist.

||Valerie Carter Fan|
I bought both of Valerie Carters albums when they were released in the 1970s and had a total crush on her along with another blond pop singer, Joni Mitchell, listening to them non-stop. She was really a wonderful, sweet singer. I don't remember Valerie ever getting any radio air time where I lived in the South, and with no more records or national media coverage or tours she disappeared off my radar for the next 30 years. Now with the ability to search for her on the internet, it is nice to see she has been able to continue her career as a backup recording singer. I'm sorry I never got to see her in a live club performance, or that she never tried to follow through with a solo career. Best wishes Valerie!
