Another strong album for Randy Crawford; the song "Imagine" remains one of the best R&B covers/versions around, while "One Hello" did well in Europe and made it to the charts, as did "Imagine," although it broke later in America. Crawford sang with consistency and character on every number. ~ Ron Wynn

This CD brings me back to my early 20's when love was in the air and break-ups were a weekly thing. After many years of not having the LP; I found it on this site. Now, I still enjoy the songs but from a broken heart but with a strong heart.

 I looked for this album for years.
I looked for years for this album, I originally had it as a cassette tape, I would listen on the drive home, I found it relaxed me. It was accidentally destroyed. I could only find only collections and mixes of some its songs. I was happy to find that CD universe had the original album in CD form.
After ordering, there was NO surprises, or delays, or excuses, or bait and switching. I would definitely do business with them again, especially with hard to find items as this was.

At Long Last I Have Found My Favorite Artist!!
I ordered this cd because I bought the LP back in the '70s and have since bought all the cds I could find from this artist......except "Windsong". So, since I purchase alot from this company, I thought I'd try to "search" for this particular CD. Low and Behold I FOUND IT!!! The price was minimal as was the shipping. And as always, it was super easy to order. THANK YOU!!!!

DREAMS is a 4-CD box set compiling in chronological order tracks by the Allman Brothers Band, as well as tracks by bands featuring one or more member of the Allman Brothers Band and solo performances by Gregg Allman and Dickey Betts.
Recorded between 1966 & 1988. Includes a 32-page illustrated booklet and liner notes by John Swenson.
Like nearly all box sets, DREAMS has plenty to recommend it-and a few nagging drawbacks. The set's chief shortcoming is its two conflicting goals: providing an overview of the Allmans' history, thus attracting buyers seeking the ultimate hits package, and including enough unreleased tracks and rarities to appeal to the band's most devoted fans. As a result, DREAMS is neither the definitive Allman Brothers collection nor the gift to hardcore fans that, say, THE BOOTLEG SERIES is to Dylan-philes.
DREAMS' strengths are considerable. First and foremost, the box contains nearly five wall-to-wall hours of great music. By including everything from early demos to Gregg Allman and Dickie Betts' solo material, DREAMS does a great job of tracing the group's musical evolution from hippie blues band to kings of Southern rock. And, while the unreleased studio version of "Statesboro Blues" included here isn't definitive, it's still mighty good-as are the set's other rarities. In her slippery, velvety tone, Randy Crawford blossoms on this diverse cast of songs, which includes jazz, dance, pop, and a little bit of boogie. She does nothing fancy or unique other than address these lyrically sound numbers with good old-fashioned singing. Crawford softly croons through the lead track "I'm Glad There Is You" accompanied by only a piano. She follows suit on songs like "Can We Bring It Back" and "Year After Year." They too are tranquil numbers that prey upon the tenderness of the heart. Her up-tempo numbers like "Keep Me Loving You" and "Elusive Boogie" expose Crawford's spirited side.
