Timeless
I bought the album when it first came out and I literally wore it out years ago. After years of not hearing it anywhere, on a whim, I bought the CD. This great work has not aged. It's a raw guitar outpouring from the troubled heart of a musical genius. This is Peter Green at his apex. 'The End of Game' never received the recognition it deserved and now it's all but forgotten. I am very glad I rediscovered it. I hope others do too.

The Green Mahelshi
This is Peter Green's last attempt at music before he left the world of music. This cd is unique in its balance of some of England's finest musicians backing Green in this incredible and masterful attempt at a instrumental album when Green was a powerfull blues singer as well as a superlative guitar player. This album is a masterpiece as it is the last and final recording of Green as a blues guitarist exploring the world of musical instrumental improvisation and mastering it with extraordinary talent.

A curveball from Peter Green.
This isn't the typical Peter Green or early Fleetwood Mac sound, in fact, it's nearly Avante-Garde in nature - Peter on his creative edge if you will. Bottoms Up is a perfect track to open up. Timeless Time is as close as it gets to the Peter Green most are familiar with. The End Of The Game is a brilliant close to the album. This isn't the one to pick up if you are looking for Green's classic blues vocals and guitar. On the other hand, if you're up for a creative and different blues guitar ride, get on board. I've enjoyed this since the original vinyl and I hear different sounds with each listen. This one is nearly impossible to categorize or describe.

Brilliance from a Master at his Peak
This has got to rate as the single best theme album of all time. An instrumental disc by the famous Peter Green, founder of Fleetwood Mac, it charts a day in the life of a jungle cat. Jazz rythms, percussion and wah-wah guitar elicit a true feeling of the joy of being a big cat, running through the jungle, chasing prey, contemplating your reflection in a still pool, preparing for sleep, and finally, achingly, being killed by a hunter.
This is my single favourite album of all time.

The beginning of something good!
Awesome listening! I sometimes wish that when an artist is in a "zone" of writing, playing, producing, & whatever else, that more could be captured on tape to be delivered to us, the consumer. A double vinyl would have been perfect for this release in 1970 but that's too bad for me, huh? If you enjoy Roy Buchanan, Gary Moore (blues), old Stephen Stills & Johnny Winter or Paul Kossoff, you'll dig "End of the Game" by Peter Green right now!
