| | Best Of George Benson CD (1995)
Best Of Soundtrack CD music
$8.65 If a George Benson fan owned THE BEST OF GEORGE BENSON as well as THE GEORGE BENSON COLLECTION, he almost wouldn't have to own another George Benson CD. While there is some duplication of titles between the two Warner Brothers releases, this later release does as excellent a job of highlighting Benson's later career, as COLLECTION does for his earlier career.
"I Just Wanna Hang Around You," "Love X Love," "20/20," "Kisses in the Moonlight," and "Lady Love Me (One More Time)" are among the newer song highlights on this 1995 CD.

| | Henry Rollins End Of Silence CD (1992)
Best Of Soundtrack music CDs
$13.09 There was quite a buzz circulating around the Rollins Band after their show-stopping performances on the inaugural Lollapooza tour of '91 (they had the dubious task of warming up the crowd in the sweltering afternoon heat). After several independently issued albums, the Rollins Band issued their first domestic effort, THE END OF SILENCE, in 1992. The band benefited from opening tour slots with the Red Hot Chili Peppers and the Beastie Boys, as well as from alternative rock's crossover to the mainstream. THE END OF SILENCE is one of the Rollins Band's strongest releases. "Low Self Opinion" was an MTV favorite, while other tracks such as "Grip," "Tearing," "You Didn't Need," and "Obscene" caught the band at their most fiercely rocking.
In early 1991, months before recording their breakthrough album, END OF SILENCE, the Rollins Band set up in a small studio and charged through new material with a ferocious intensity. Every song was recorded in one take, and the vocals ...
| | Rufus Wainwright CD (1998)
Best Of Soundtrack songs
$9.65 In 1998, the music industry was inundated with recordings by the offspring of '60s and '70s icons. Chris Stills, Sean Lennon, Emma Townshend; nepotism ran unchecked, with varying degrees of aesthetic and commercial success. Rufus Wainwright, scion of acerbic singer/songwriter Loudon Wainwright and Canadian songstress Kate McGarrigle, may share a nasal vocal drawl with his father, but the songs here are closer to Brian Wilson, Randy Newman or Harry Nilsson than Loudon or Kate. The Newman/Wilson connection is underlined by the skewed, neo-Baroque string arrangements and co-production ...

| | Sweet Trip Velocity:Design:Comfort CD (2003)
Best Of Soundtrack songs
$10.79 Sweet Trip's second full-length, Velocity : Design : Comfort, is an intoxicating blend of indie pop melody, shoegaze-style sonic overload, and electronic drum'n'bliss. A dense and sprawling record, each song is layered with skittering, glitchy drumbeats, distorted and broken sounding synths, hazy shoegaze guitars, and the blissful vocals of Valerie Reyes. Main Sweet Tripper Roberto Burgos has crafted a record that is overflowing with small details and sonic surprises that make each song a delight and add up to push the record into minor classic status. It may sound like empty hyperbole or press pack tomfoolery, but at its best, Sweet Trip truly sounds like what one might assume Kevin Shields would sound like today if he could ever manage to get his act together. Their sound is woozy, dreamy, deeply emotional, and extremely unpredictable. Songs like the epic "Velocity" or "International" are so packed to the brim with sound and adventure that every listen will leave you shaking your head at the sheer beauty and sonic achievement involved. ...
