Colour Moving and Still album for sale Product Description
Colour Moving and Still album for sale by Chantal Kreviazuk was released May 11, 2012 on the Columbia label. On the follow-up to her smash debut Under These Rocks and Stones, Chantal Kreviazuk does an about-face from the Alanis-like alt-rock sound that made her single "God Made Me" so popular. Colour Moving and Still songs Instead, simpler, more restrained ballads like "Blue" and "Until We Die" show off her classical piano training, as well as her earnest singing and lyrics. "Souls," "Far Away," and "Little Things" have a searching, yearning quality that the often dreamy and trip-hop inspired sound of the album magnifies: even poppier numbers like "Dear Life" and "Before You" have a slightly reflective, ethereal cast that gives them an extra depth. Colour Moving and Still CD music contains a single disc with 10 songs. ...See Full Description

| Colourful and Moving Despite not becoming the next Alanis Morissette (which is probably a good thing) after the excellent debut "Under These Rocks and Stones" was poorly received commercially, Chantal returns with another heartfelt and beautiful album backed up with solid vocal delivery and strong production by Jay Joyce. The disc opens well with "Blue" which sets the mood early and sounds like a continuation from where the last album left off; the rhythmic thumper "Dear Life" is so infectious it's single-worthy; and "Far Away" is easily the "Surrounded" single of this album. Unfortuntely cash registers are unlikely to rattle again this time, but the 2000 Juno Award winner will no doubt move listeners who are lucky enough to be graced by music of this calibre. | PRETTY DARN GOOD This CD was very very good, the best track being the absolutely brilliant song "Souls" which is one of my all-time favourite songs. Beats the crap out of the commercial junk which pollutes the charts and shows them up to be the cesspits of non-talent that they really are.
