| | Risky Business Soundtrack CD - Import (2 Customer Reviews)
The original soundtrack to RISKY BUSINESS features songs from Muddy Waters, Bob Seger, Phil Collins, Tangerine Dream, and Prince. A fairly good cross-section of the soundtrack music for this film (starring Tom Cruise in a breakout performance), with TD's pulsating cues on five tracks balanced well against a selection of rock, blues and funk numbers (by Bob Seger, Jeff Beck, Prince and Muddy Waters, among others). The standout cut is "Love on a Real Train." ~ Steven McDonald
1985 Virgin release, the soundtrack to director PaulBrickman's 1983 comedy starring Tom Cruise, RebeccaDeMornay, Joe Pantoliano and Bronson Pinchot. 11 tracks, including classics by Bob Seger, Phil Collins, Muddy Waters,Prince, Journey & Jeff Beck, plus five unforgettableinstrumental works by Tangerine Dream. It's right purty!"Digitalcity - Los Angeles scribe, Garrett Kamps, raves, "...they perform classic country originals with pitch-perfect authenticity and the kind of showmanship you can only get from experienced actors and musicians."Not coincidentally, these country cuties traverse these two performing arts disciplines like others cross the street. Their acting and musical talents are remarkably second nature, which translates to pure enjoyment, not only for them, but also for their audiences, as well.Derryberry spent three years in Nashville working as a voice-over/jingle artist and a country singer/songwriter.
