|McCartney doing disco|
If you buy this album, here's what to expect: The first song, "Coming Up" is alright. It was a hit! Next you have "Temporary Secretary" which to me is the most embassaring and worst song that Paul has ever done. The next one is also disco-like and horrible. Then you have "Waterfalls" which is one of my favorite McCartney songs. You might find another good song later on on this one, but all in all this is a terrible album from an ex-Beatles, and eveb an ex-Wing.

||ONE MORE OF THE MANY MISTAKES OF PAUL MC CARTNEY|
MC CARTNEY II can be resumed to two tracks: WATERFALLS, one of the most beautiful ballads Paul has ever written, and COMING UP, whose videoclip is better than the song in itself which is damaged by the nasty tricks of the production that reduced Paul's voice to a ridiculous falsetto. On the other hand, TEMPORARY SECRETARY, CHECK MY MACHINE e SECRET FRIEND are, without doubt, the worst things tha any ex-Beatle managed to create to date. MC CARTNEY II was simply one more feebled example of a musician trying to play everything alone. That's it. Nelson.

||Not of the quality of the first "McCartney" album.|
I'm glad "Goodnight Tonight" is included. "Coming Up" (which was previewed on late-night TV as "Dummy Up") is far better in its live version. "Waterfalls" is just to sugary for me. Overall, it still has moments of that monumental McCartney genius we've all come to love and admire.

||What was he thinking ?!?|
I admit, Paul was my least favorite Beatle. But when "Band on the Run" & "McCartney" were re-released I wanted to give him another chance. Those are two great records. I then reset my opinion of him. So I let it roll and gave "McCartney II" a chance... wow! This has got to be one of the worst records ever produced! "Waterfalls" is a sickly sweet tune & "Coming Up" is not a bad song, although not even close to Paul's best. The rest was incredibly painful to listen to, I had to turn it off. I am waiting for "Ram" and "Venus & Mars" to come out. I know those are worth waiting for but for now I want to try and forget the pain "II" caused me.
