| | Kuschelrock, Vol. 5 CD
Although the German-import price might be prohibitive for some, Kuschelrock Vol. 5 is a pretty good double-disc collection of mainstream pop hits circa the late '80s and early '90s. Some singles were more popular than others, naturally, but they generally fit well together, and it would be impossible to find even the biggest of these songs together on a collection released in the U.S. Just a few of those include Roxette's "It Must Have Been Love," Chris Isaak's "Wicked Game," Elton John's "Candle in the Wind," Bette Midler's "From a Distance," Paula Abdul's "Rush Rush," Stevie B's "Because I Love You (The Postman Song)," Lionel Richie's "Say You, Say Me," and many more. ~ Steve Huey Kuschelrock, Vol. 5 Music Kuschelrock, Vol. 5 Songs | | Kuschelrock, Vol. 5 CD DISC 1: |

Kuschelrock, Vol. 5 CD music
$39.59 KUSCHELROCK Y.10 is compilation of radio hits including "Killing Me Softly" by The Fugees, "How Deep Is Your Love" by Take That, and "Limelight" by Bonnie Tyler, among others.
Distributed in Europe, the Kuschelrock series is often uneven in its attempts to throw pop hits of all stripes together in one package, taking little consideration into the fact that most people don't have wildly diverse taste in music. The tenth volume features ...

Kuschelrock, Vol. 5 songs
$8.99 The finest example of perfect disco pop, and a record that should be prescribed to musical snobs and manic depressives. The album is a true ambassador of what pop music can be. Jackson whoops and dances through a suite of unforgettable melodies that should be danced to with a smile on your face. Each track offers at least one musical hook, whether it is the beauty of 'Human Nature' (who can resist ...
| | Slayer World Painted Blood CD (2009)
Kuschelrock, Vol. 5 album
$10.39 Of the "big four" original thrash bands (the other three being Metallica, Anthrax, and Megadeth), Slayer was the least compromising and most consistent. As such, 2009's WORLD PAINTED BLOOD recalled more than the title of Slayer's 1986 masterpiece REIGN IN BLOOD; it shared the earlier album's ferocious aggression and trademark speed metal-meets-hardcore sound. Throughout, the sound is lean and mean, with bassist/vocalist ...

| | Baptist Generals No Silver/No Gold CD (2003)
Kuschelrock, Vol. 5 songs
$12.15 A deeply strange, personal album, the Baptist Generals' No Silver/No Gold is much more than the sum of its parts. The group plays the kind of spare, threadbare indie rock that flirts with folk and country without committing to either; Chris Flemmons' biting, nasal vocals are the audio equivalent of vinegar, cutting through the band's shambling racket of strummy acoustic guitars, cellos, organs, and bashed drums bringing No Silver/No Gold together as a remarkably fresh and vital album, despite -- or perhaps because of -- its ornery ways. On songs like "Ay Distress," a heartfelt, acoustic ballad that's interrupted abruptly by violent studio commotion, the Baptist Generals come across as both sensitive and unhinged, a mix of Dylanesque insight and trippy ferocity that recalls Roky Erickson. This volatility, along with the gritty recording quality (which gives No Silver/No Gold so much character that it should be credited as a member of the band) makes each song teeter unpredictably between beauty and ugliness. The haltingly lovely "Going Back Song," the scruffy "Preservatine" and the spacey "Feds on the Highway," tend more ...
