| | Agnetha Faltskog I Stand Alone CD - Import Agnetha Faltskog Discography of CDs
(6 Customer Reviews)
Swedish vocalist Agnetha Faltskog is best known for contributing to ABBA's signature vocals. Before and since ABBA's success, however, Faltskog has released numerous solo albums in both Swedish and English. 1987 saw the release of I STAND ALONE, an album produced by vocalist Peter Cetera which features the Cetera/Faltskog duet, "I Wasn't The One." Import from the Netherlands.
The former Abba superstar's attempted to crack open the pop market for herself in a bold move, using one of the hottest stars of the era (former Chicago lead singer Peter Cetera) to help her craft an album that would best present her artistic vision. While the duet with Cetera "I Wasn't The One" got some airplay on the AC circuit, it didn't ever catch fire. Agnetha Faltskog I Stand Alone Songs | 1. | Last Time, The |

| I Stand Alone Music Review Average Rating: (4 out of 5 stars) List All Reviews Best solo cd by Agnetha! This is my favorite solo recording by former ABBA member, Agnetha Faltskog. The music has a real warm California sound to it. She sounds great on this! Submitted by Lynn (Houston, TX, USA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No 1 of 1 found this helpful.
Good CD! This is my favorite cd released by Agnetha. It's so good that I'd rate it up there almost as high as some of ABBA's phenomenal releases. Her voice is so beautiful on this one, especially on "Little White Secrets" & "I Wasn't The One (w/ Peter Cetera)". Her adorable swedish accent gives her voice a forever youthful sound & she looks amazing on the cover! Submitted by Cindi (Seattle, WA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No 1 of 1 found this helpful.

If you wish they had made just one more album then buy this one.

A great album!! Not as good as My colouring book but still great. Much better as Frida's albums. Submitted by Ninke (Belgium) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
3rd English solo album from Sweden's greatest singer This is an excellent CD, of great interest to all who love Abba, of course, but a wonderful collection of songs to listen to on their own terms. Agnetha's voice manages to shine all the way through, and Peter Cetera's production is well nigh perfect. Best cuts are 'Let It Shine', 'The Last Time' (a minor hit in Europe) and 'I Wasn't The One (Who Said Goodbye)', the duet with the afore-mentioned Mr. Cetera.
Agnetha has now re-signed to WEA International and her 4th English-language international CD, 'My Colouring Book', is due in spring 2004.

| | Agnetha Faltskog My Colouring Book CD (2008) (Import)
I Stand Alone
$12.65 With the musical Mama Mia selling tickets so strongly in 2005 that it seems destined for a Broadway run through at least 2009, it's easy to forget the existence of the singers who were ABBA. My Colouring Book was Agnetha Faltskog's new album for 2004, and it's distinctly in a pop vein, comprised of music that she's known throughout her life, starting with the Kander & Ebb title track. Even her rendition of Jackie DeShannon's "When You Walk in the Room," despite a heavy beat from Dan Stromkvist and some highly amplified ...
| | Agnetha Faltskog Eyes Of A Woman CD (2005) (Import) Import; Sweden
I Stand Alone
$11.79 Lushly produced by 10cc's Eric Stewart, with all the lavish attention to detail that one would expect, Agnetha Faltskog's second English-language solo album is a lean and occasionally brooding hybrid of overstated '80s adult rock and boisterous Euro-pop, a blend that is epitomized by the opening cut, Jeff Lynne's "One Way Love," and never goes away thereafter. It makes for discomforting listening. Her final recordings with ABBA, after all, placed Faltskog in a fascinating position, a dark, doomed chanteuse capable of wringing crippling emotion from the most innocuous lyric. Only occasionally, however, does Eyes of a Woman even glance ...
| | Robert Gordon Lost Album, Plus CD (1998) (Import) Germany
I Stand Alone
$21.15 When Robert Gordon entered the recording studio in June 1980 to record what was to be his fifth album, it was make or break time with RCA. He emerged from the studio with 12 songs, but RCA wasn't happy with what they had heard, so they sent him back to work on more material. The material that he began working on that November eventually became his final RCA album, Are You Gonna Be The One, while only two songs from the June sessions were ever released. This fantastic Bear Family release compiles the other ten unreleased tracks from those sessions, and they are stunning. Leaving the rockabilly rebel in his back pocket, Gordon concentrates on pure pop and rock 'n' roll, never trying to be commercial or mainstream, yet sounding instantly accessible. His version of the Beatles' "Run For Your Life" rocks with more venom than the original, while the Elvis classic "Suspicion" equals ...
