Buck Rogers - 12 Episode Serial Movie Review Average Rating: (4.7 out of 5 stars) Buck Rogers & Flash Gordon When you have seen Flash Gordon, Buck Rogers is the next step. The special effects at that time weren't great. The same has to be said about the early Doctor Who. UK (television) series. However it never spoilt my enjoyment of them. I already had the Gil Gerard's Buck Rogers, which is interesting in it's own right. Season one. Season Two could have been another character. Just in case you didn't get enough FLASH GORDON Buster Crabbe dons space suit again, this time as Buck Rogers to save planet Earth. You'll see a lot of the sets, props and stock footage from the "Flash" serials here, and the story is rather mundane. Killer Kane is no Ming as far as villans go, but on the up side we are treated to such novelties as "The Amnesia Helmet" "Gravity Belts" and of course a varity of cinder-dropping rocketships. The quality of the DVD was very good and presented well. As I said, this one is great just in case you didn't get enough Flash Gordon... $7.95 Gluttony, greed, sloth, envy, wrath, pride, and lust--these are the seven deadly sins that are being punished with unimaginable cruelty and calculation by an enigmatic killer in David Fincher's bleak thriller SEVEN. Set in a perpetually gloomy unnamed city, the film follows Somerset (Morgan Freeman), a retiring police detective, as he experiences his final week on the job, reluctantly working with assertive newcomer Mills (Brad Pitt). When an obese man is found brutally murdered in his home, the seasoned Somerset realizes this is no ordinary killing--someone tortured him because of his appetite. Slayings that reflect the sins of greed and sloth soon follow, leading Somerset and Mills on a desperate search to find the mysterious John Doe, who is responsible for these methodical murders. As the case builds to a startling conclusion, both Somerset and Mills become more involved than they ever could have imagined.
After a brief opening scene, SEVEN immediately cuts to a highly stylized title sequence. An intricate collage of books and photos, scissors and razors, and blood and skin eerily captures the dark, graphic tone of Fincher's ...
