ROMANCES won the 1998 Grammy Award for Best Latin Pop Performance.
The honey-voiced Latin crooner returns to melt the hearts of women from 18 to 80. While many of Miguel's previous albums have been on the cutting edge of contemporary pop technology, ROMANCES finds the singer opting for a more lush, traditional approach. The songs here feature full orchestration that perfectly outlines the romantic themes. Sweeping strings and rich horns combine with accordion and mandolin for a sound that is simultaneously grand and intimate. Miguel brings to bear his impressive communicative abilities to invest these love ballads with personality and passion.
When Latin pop megastar Luis Miguel released his album ROMANCES in 1997, it was an immediate success, selling over a million copies. The velvet-voiced, charismatic singer interprets some of Latin music's most enduring classics here, including "Sabor A Mi," "La Gloria Eres Tu," and "Besame Mucho."
Recorded at Ocean Way, Hollywood, California; Hit Factory, New York, New York.

well appreciated luis miguel has a unique voice and his style suits hime very well .His romances really represent the elder singers which he imitates very well. The music is very modernly set up which
makes his voice younger and wel liked by youngsters who still appreciate the 1960's until now.nothing's dead with luis miguel's voice .....

Unbelievably Beautiful This CD leaves me breathless! I don't speak Spanish, so I don't understand the words Miguel is singing. I don't care. The arrangements are gorgeous and Miguel's voice and his delivery of a love song are beyond anything I've ever heard. He makes me want to throw rocks at Sinatra and all the other so called "crooners" of our time. Luis Miguel makes me fall in love all over again--every time I listen to this CD. $7.59 NADA ES IGUAL was nominated for a 1997 Grammy Award for Best Latin Pop Performance.
NADA ES IGUAL contains more of the smooth-as-silk Latin pop that has made Luis Miguel a worldwide star. Miguel, winner of multiple Grammy Awards, is a sensual crooner whose songs combine cool, breezy melodicism with slick, seamless production. On tunes like "Si Te Vas" and "Abrazame," sparkling keyboards and punchy horns provide an elegant backdrop for the singer to work his magic, and work it he does. There is not a single moment on NADA ES IGUAL where Miguel sounds less than 100 percent committed to every word that comes out of his mouth. He invests ...

$8.25 SUENOS LIQUIDOS won the 1999 Grammy Award for Best Latin/Rock Alternative Performance.
As trippy and loose-limbed as the album art may be (echoes of Santana's ABRAXAS), SUENOS LIQUIDOS finds these rockeros Mexicanos creating an ever-more refined sound. It's a free-and-easy rock & roll that's been baked in the Yucatan sun, with all the fun of Bryan Adams, ...
