Once upon a time in the bustling metropolis of Lincolnwood, Illinois, there lived a boy named Josh Solomon who dreamed of pitching for the Chicago Cubs. He was sleeping in his Spiderman footsie pajamas when suddenly a Fender Telecaster magically spiraled out of the sky and plummeted into Josh's bedroom. "Whoa," he exclaimed as the white light exploded into his room, "it's a sign. If I play it, they will come." Though at the time he was referring to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, a true musician was born. He began to play the guitar constantly, only stopping for Bologna sandwiches, writing songs and keeping the neighbors awake all night with his revolutionary pop sound. But he was all alone. So, he kept his eyes open for others to help bring his songs to life.Meanwhile in Morton Grove, Danny Rosenthal was attempting to elusively escape his seventh grade math test by becoming a pirate on Lake Michigan. On his journey he had intended to learn the Brazilian art of the bikini wax, but soon realized his error that bikini waxes, in fact, had nothing to do with putting one's legs behind their own head. Thus enraged, he angrily grabbed wood from the pirate ship deck, slamming it down in a repeated manner. Danny was oddly pleased by this sensation and continued to beat against the boat until he discovered what is now called "rhythm." With this newfound appreciation for music, he set sail home and auditioned for Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at Niles West High School where he met Josh for the first time.Aided by Josh's guitar skills and Danny's pirate prowess, the boys were cast as two of Joseph's brothers. As this friendship was being fostered by musical goodness, another boy emerged on the scene. His name was Nate Bellon and he had traveled far from the land of Harvard, Illinois to flee from an evil witch and her curse. The witch warned that should he remain a knife-carrying farmer, his fingers would turn to wood and he would be forever unable to master the godly instrument of the bass. Frightened, he sought out the Wonderful Wizard of Oz who endowed him with a rotten egg. He carried it with him constantly until one day, Nate tripped over his enormous big toe and fell on top of it.
