THIS MOVIE SHOULD BE LIKE JASON I have always loved the special effects in this movie. for it's time it still is more realistic than crouching tiger hidden dragon. the evil lord was a little puppet like though. of course who could forget the the clown's twins. this movie was really cool with some really good laughs as well as the more serious side. with todays effects and a little imagination it could be a killer movie right up there with terminator 2 or even the matrix series. way to go spawn. hope to see your next movie. Even if you are not a fan of the animated series............ I was 16 when this movie came out and did not catch the cartoon series on HBO but I knew that it was popular and was one of the most talked about things in my high school at the time. My sister-in-law was a huge fan of the cartoon and she so desparately wanted to see the movie so I figured, oh what the hell. Let me tell you, I enjoyed it. Still almost 8 years later I have to say it is a great movie. Very enjoyable and of course the man that steels the show is Clown (john leguizamo). I still laugh at his jokes because you almost can't take him seriously eventhough he is very dangerous in the movie. But he is still absolutely hilarious. Could not have picked a better person to play the role. I am pretty sure though, had chris farley been alive at the time, he would have gotten the role since it would have seemed more natural for him but Leguizamo is just fine here. Do not think much of Michael Jai White at all though, he really hit an all-time low in his career when he did the jerry springer movie the year after when he should not have done it no matter how good it did in the box office but he did and since hasn't really starred in any big pictures. I am sure he wishes that the sequal to spawn wouold have been a real movie and animated sets which I am suprised they did not captivate on the first movie's succes and go with a big sequal but they didn't. And of course right now, the cartoon is not popular like that anymore anyways since it gets tiring after awhile. But still an enjoyable movie and great cg-effects. Still to this day it matches some of the great movies out there. Submitted by puertoricandj (buffalo, ny usa) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No

| | Mind Of Mannie Fresh CD (2004)
Spawn review
$12.65 On THE MIND OF MANNIE FRESH, Fresh avails himself admirably as a rapper, layering sweet and often provocative rhymes over a variety of backing tracks of his own conception. On the breakbeat-boasting and Whodini-esque "Nothing Compares to Love" and the Al B. Sure!-interpolating "How We Ride," Fresh reminds the listener he was around in the early days of hip-hop, conjuring up the feel of times past. Mostly, however, Fresh's eyes are squarely focused on the future, with cutting-edge beats, particularly on "Chubby Boy" and the pulsating opening single, "Real Big."
Familiar to most of the rap world as half of Big Tymers, Mannie Fresh was active in hip-hop for years before dropping his solo debut, THE MIND OF MANNIE FRESH, in 2004. While Fresh didn't shy away from the mic as a member ...

Spawn DVD
$9.69 When audiences caught a glimpse of an alien skull mounted in the trophy cabinet of a Predator in the 1990 film PREDATOR 2, it seemed a franchise was about to be born. Sure enough, comic book artists immediately seized on the possibilities suggested by the brief scene, and a number of skirmishes between the deadly foes were played out on the printed page. Fans have had to endure a lengthy wait for a cinematic match-up, but writer-director Paul W.S. Anderson (EVENT HORIZON) has finally delivered the blood-splattered goods in ALIEN VS. PREDATOR. Set in the near future, a team of archaeologists lead by Charles Wiedland (Lance Henriksen, returning for more ALIEN action after appearances in the second and third films) ventures towards an inexplicable "hot zone" detected in Antarctica. Joined by Alexa Woods (Sanaa Lathan) and the requisite amount of human fodder for the otherworldly creatures to feast on, Wiedland and his cohorts discover a sizeable underground pyramid. Chaos ensues as they awake the Queen alien from her blissful slumber, causing face-hugging and chest-bursting ...
