Jesse remains blissfully unaware of the supernatural presence haunting the house -- until Freddy starts invading his dreams. The undead creature wants to take over Jesse's body and renew his murderous vendetta against the local kids.
In a last, anguished attempt to save his own and his friends' lives, Jesse gathers his pals together to fight Freddy off and destroy him, once and for all. A rotting, corpse-like creature returns from the dead, possessing the body of a young man and forcing him to commit unspeakable acts of violence. Color by DeLuxe.

 Not as bad as they say!
This movie in no way lives up to the standards which the first one set. It is a decent sequel. After hearing how bad this was I didn't have high expectations over it but i was surprised. It isn't bad but don't go having high expectations over it.

bad but not too bad
to honest all the sequels to nightmare on elm street were garbage ( part 3 being the best attempt) As for part 2, I will just say that the script was under-developed and one can't help but get the feeling that the producers rushed the project in order to cash-in on the success of the first film. Friday the 13th was successful at given the audience what they expected but Freddy is a far more complicated character all together. The first film was creative, suspensful and full of imagination, and repeating that would take a really great script and production team which is sadly lacking in this film.

Okay, now this is down right dumb, the cast was terrible, the acting was terrible and the plot was the worst, if Wes Craven had written this I guarentee he would've knocked it right out of the water but this is just a terrible movie that I wish I had been smart enough to just skip and gone on to Nightmare 3 wich by the way was a thousand times better than this.
