| | Dusseldorf Evangelical Church S Hindsight (1980-1987) CDs (1988) (Import) Australia
Rat Fink, Vol. 3
$15.75 Two disc retrospective of the finest singles, album tracks, B-sides & assorted rare gems by Australia's premier alternative rock group. 'Hindsight' spans the group's formative years, from their start in 1981 to 1987, the year before they would become superstars with their smash hit "Under The Milky Way". 'Hindsight', never released in the U.S., used to be extremely hard to find on disc & very expensive if you were lucky enough to do so (about $50 retail in 1988). At this low price, you'd be hard pressed to find a cheaper & better overview of one of the '80s absolute finest modern rock groups.
This two-disc collection is a perfect introduction to the Church for new fans, given all the many singles collected from Of Skins and Heart up through Heyday, along with an album cut or two. As an overview of the band's evolution from catchy postpunk pop to its own thrilling musical recipe, along with some amusing liner notes from Kilbey song per song, it's a definite winner. But hardcore fans will want this collection as well for an even stronger reason ...

| | Ronnie Lowe Free 2B Me CD (2009)
Rat Fink, Vol. 3
$13.15 Produced by Sean Michael Currier, Ronnie Lowe sings from his heart about the issues close to his heart, LOVE, LIFE, and FREEDOM to be who you were made to be. Free 2B Me, was written by Ronnie Lowe. This particular song encourages you to be yourself, to help others, and to live out loud. TAKE ACTION! From helping a polar bear, or other animals who need our help, giving money to save a child from disease this song brings some pretty intense topics, with a heartfelt fun attitude.Dear John was written for Ronnie's grandfather who passed away from cancer. "I remember going to Pa's house and him being so quiet, but let me tell you he had a firm grip on reality. He had a booming voice, when you heard him, you had no choice but to listen. He was full of love, and compassion, but was from the 'OLD SCHOOL' way of thinking. I really wrote this song as a tribute to his life, and how with him in my life, I would never be the same. At his funeral, I was asked to sing, and I did. but I held my emotions for my private time. This is my goodbye to him. I also wanted it to be a song that would touch people who are maybe in a broken, abusive relationship to help them say goodbye to that situation, or maybe even an addiction.""I wrote Free at a church camp one fall. I really had this girl on my mind, she wasn't there this year, but I had talked to her recently on the phone. She was having difficulty finacially, emotionally, and spiritually. I just started writing and the words came out like a journal entry of her life in an outside prospective. After I finished it, my friend who was transcribing for me, asked me how i knew where she was in her own life? I was astonished. I wrote something about one person, and it was relevant to someone else. WOW. Music has the power to cross boundries, I am so excited I am connected to that universe."Day Dreamer was written about a friend of mine that always dated the wrong guy. I hope you like it. It was so much fun to write, and even more fun to record. The One, lol I wrote this for a lady that used to come in the bank I worked at. She was always talking on the phone to her "boyfriend" while i was counting her money. Well I was playing a show in Murfreesboro, and she said oh I'll come if you write me a song. Of course I wrote this song for her about a boy on the internet. It was just a whim, but i kind of liked it. it was just for fun, but kind of had a meaning ...
