Standard Screen; Additional Footage; Bio/Filmographies; Soundtrack English; Director's Comments; Behind The Scenes Schlock king Herschell Gordon Lewis' magnum opus about an affluent Florida suburb terrorized by Fuad Ramses, an Isis-worshipping psychopathic caterer who tries to resurrect the spirit of the goddess by preparing a ritual feast of human organs. His intended dessert is former Playboy Playmate Mason, who, during one scene, reads her lines from a script on a nearby coffee table. Arguably the first horror movie to feature explicit gore. Also features a gripping tympani score composed and performed by Lewis himself. Incalculable historical and cult value. Blood Feast DVD Nothing so appalling in the annals of horror has ever been seen before. When Mrs. Fremont hires crackpot Egyptian cultist Fuad Ramses to cater a party for her daughter, Suzette, she commits the culinary catastrophe of the century! Fuad immediately prepares a Blood Feast made from the grisly body parts of nubile young women. The world's first (and most notorious) "gore" film, "Blood Feast" is both shocking and hilarious. It's also the first of the infamous "blood trilogy" from director Herschell Gordon Lewis and producer Dave Friedman, who followed this perverse classic with the equally twisted "2000 Maniacs" and "Color Me Blood Red."

Blood Feast review
$10.29 George Romero's NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD is a low-budget, homegrown classic that had great difficulty finding a distributor at the time of its release in 1968, and has since become one of the most influential horror films of all time. (Aside from its visceral impact years before realistic gore became the fashion, the film is also important for its portrayal of a black man as the protagonist during a time when race was an extremely sensitive issue in the United States.) The plot is simple: seven people secluded in a Pennsylvania farmhouse face relentless attacks by reanimated corpses seeking to eat their flesh. The group, which includes a married couple and their daughter, a pair of young lovers, and an African-American man, try to keep their sanity as the living dead keep trying to enter the house. Radio news reports tell of the plague taking over the eastern United States, while the ever-decreasing band of survivors rapidly loses ground in the battle to both keep peace with one another and stay alive.

| | Zombie 4: After Death DVD (1988)
Blood Feast movie DVD
$11.05 Although its numerical title seems to indicate that this is yet another sequel to Lucio Fulci's ZOMBIE (itself often listed as ZOMBI 2 to capitalize on the success of DAWN OF THE DEAD, which was also known as ZOMBI) and ZOMBIE 3, ZOMBIE 4 is actually a (what else?) zombie movie originally known as AFTER DEATH that was renamed to link to its supposed precursors. Set on a verdant tropical island where, 20 years before, a voodoo priest turned all of its inhabitants into the living dead, ZOMBIE 4 finds the only non-zombie descendent of the island returning to her homeland with a band of beer guzzling mercenaries. Soon, the mercenaries find themselves face to face with some rather energetic and hungry zombies while, across the island, a team of scientists unwittingly create even more of the flesh eating corpses. Much in the same vein as ZOMBI 3, ZOMBIE 4 is filled with gore, gratuitous nudity, ...

| | Chain Camera DVD (2001) Full Frame
Blood Feast film
$13.45 Located in the cultural melting pot of Los Angeles, John Marshall High School has a student body that represents over 90 different countries. In CHAIN CAMERA, director Kirby Dick (SICK: THE LIFE AND DEATH OF BOB FLANAGAN) relinquishes the video camera to let the students of this multicultural East Hollywood high school tell their own stories. Taking a new approach to the documentary genre, Dick decided to hand out video cameras in August of 1999 to 10 teenagers in order for them to document their own lives for a week, at which point the cameras were passed on to 10 more students, and so on. The finished film introduces 16 different students, whose incredibly varied backgrounds shed light on just how diverse a population this actually is. Poignant issues of racism, heritage, abandonment, as well as the mere struggle of learning to live comfortably within one's own skin, intermingle with more lighthearted moments, resulting in a surprisingly optimistic, intimate portrait of adolescence in early 21st century America. Where CHAIN CAMERA succeeds even further ...
