"Don't eat the figs" I, Claudius Collector's Edition film I first saw the miniseries years ago on PBS. But not the full series because I forgot what day it was on and so I missed an episode here and there. So now I got the entire series. Overall I give it 5 stars for the show and 2 stars for the lackluster presentation. By kr04283677 (BelleMead,NJ)
Quality storytelling, exquisite acting, extremely enjoyable. I, Claudius Collector's Edition review I had tried to tape this from a long ago PBS showing. The quality I had taped was poor quality and incomplete. This is really quality acting and worth every minute you spend watching. By marymramirez41 (United States of America)
Rome Behind The Scenes! I, Claudius Collector's Edition DVD for sale One of the greatest series I ever watched. I, Claudius Collector's Edition movie A soap opera that holds you throughout its huge length. Great actors and acting are the key to this series. Brilliant scripting also doesn't hurt, though this is a fictional account it meshes well with the known facts of the real life characters so well that you'll swear this was script was lifted from ancient transcripts. The DVD version is crystal clear, and as one who only viewed it on PBS stations and VHS long ago with muddled sound, this release makes it look like it has just been in the theaters recently. This is a classic and should be entertaining to all who view it. By b_flag (Baltimore MD)
FANTASTIC I, Claudius Collector's Edition video With all different types of dvd players, mp3's, etc. its hard to find a dvd that will actually play in all players. The quality is great, the price is great and the shipping time is great. Will definately order again. By psykodol (Ontario, Canada)
| deliciously addictive Better than I remember from the PBS telecast. Mainly because of the digital remastering, and crystal clear sound and picture. What is the same is the outstanding writing and truly great cast of actors, the fictional embellishments actually make sense, and Derek Jacobi in the title role shows what a truly underated actor is.
