Great! This DVD protrays a different Chaka Khan. However, she is great at singing Jazz. I throughly enjoyed this DVD. She truly protrays here talent on this DVD. Submitted by Ruby (Milwaukee, WI, USA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
True Artistry I can't believe that this isn't available on CD! What a stirring collection of classics all performed effortlessly by Chaka Khan. I mean she really tackles some timeless tunes here and she does it with such ease and class. Chaka has proved herself many times over the years, but she really outdoes herself here. My favorite here is "I Loves You, Porgy". I used to think that "Sweet Thing" or "Pack'd My Bags" were my favorite Chaka tunes, but I'm not so sure about that anymore. She really winds up on this song and knocks it out. Chaka Khan will really make you a believer with this one, if you weren't already one. This is must have for Chaka fans and Jazz fans alike. You must get this one so you can see and hear a different side of Chaka Khan. Trust me you won't regret it! Submitted by marcusj_j (Aurora, IL, USA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
Chaka at her best I've always been a fan of this great vocalist and was not disappointed at all with this performance. Chaka once said in a 1986 interview that she wants to "grow up to be a jazz singer". It's clear she's at the top of her game in terms of control and range and feel for the music. I can't wait for the upcoming release "Classikhan", where she further explores this part of her repetoire. You go girl!! Submitted by lk (Cape Town, South Africa) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
Love it... What amazes me about Chaka Khan is her ability to go from R&B to Jazz without so much as a hesitation. The Collection is some of her best work and the song "I'll Be Around" is done so well here. Now if she'll just do a live set that includes her singing "Sweet Thing" and "Through The Fire" all my Chaka wants will have been met.

Chaka Khan: Bet On Jazz video
$20.35 John Cameron Mitchell is the creator of the off-Broadway hit HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH, which he and composer-lyricist Stephen Trask have transformed into a funny, dramatic, and curiously poignant self-described "post-punk neo-glam musical" film, with extra songs and a new instrumental score. Hedwig (played by Mitchell) was born as Hansel in East Berlin. In his twenties, Hansel agrees to undergo a sex change in order to marry a U.S. soldier (Maurice Dean Wint) and escape to America. Unfortunately, the procedure fails, and Hedwig is left with nothing but a sexless "angry inch" between her legs. After being abandoned in a Kansas trailer park by her husband, Hedwig decides to make the most of her situation: She develops a taste for outrageous wigs and costumes, forms a band, and becomes a singer. Hedwig soon meets and falls in love with 17-year-old Tommy (Michael Pitt), who also harbors rock star aspirations, ...
