DVD. Feature film. Rated PG. Stereo. 97 min. The hapless Smuntz brothers are delighted to discover that the ramshackle house they've inherited from their father is actually a long-forgotten, neglected architectural treasure worth millions. But auctioning the dwelling proves complicated when the house's current resident, an intrepid field mouse, balks at their attempts to evict him. A fierce turf war breaks out, but the real winner is Christopher Walken, who walks off with the movie in a bit as a sadistic exterminator. A symphony of slapstick, conducted with both animatronic and live mice by debut director Verbinski, heretofore best known for creating the "Budweiser" frogs. THE LAST BOY SCOUT: Bruce Willis stars as Joe Hallenbeck, a disillusioned former Secret Service agent who has hit rock bottom as a detective for hire. His marriage is on the rocks, his adolescent daughter has a smart mouth, he drinks too much, and he's broke. Hallenbeck takes an assignment protecting Cory (Halle Berry), the stripper girlfriend of Jimmy Dix (Damon Wayans), a former professional football player banned from the league for gambling. When Cory is murdered gangland style, Hallenbeck teams up with the former football hero to find the killers. Their search leads them deep into the world of professional football, politics, legalized gambling and sadistic hitmen. LETHAL WEAPON screenwriter Shane Black wrote the script for this violent, action-packed thriller directed by Tony Scott (TOP GUN, TRUE ROMANCE). Willis plays Hallenbeck with a sadistic glint in his eye and a deathwish. Wayans is convincing as Dix, an athlete who loses everything when he's banned from the game he loves and turns to drugs for consolation.

Lebanon War veteran Joseph Cedar (CAMPFIRE) directs a harrowing, often haunting account of Israel's 2000 withdrawal from Lebanon and the Beaufort ("Good Fort") mountain fortress. Built by Crusaders in the 12th century, the fort was captured by the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) in 1982 at the start of the Lebanon War. Eighteen years later, increasing criticism at home and abroad has led to Israel's decision to withdraw completely from Lebanon.
