Animated; Closed Captioned; Live Action; Bio/Filmographies; Soundtrack English; English Subtitles; Dolby Digital 5.1 Re A restless worker ant changes roles with a soldier ant in order to get the girl, who just happens to be a princess. The animation is breathtaking in this story of true love amid a totalitarian state. Woody Allen and Sylvester Stallone play ant friends in the film; the last time they were on film together (and that time, appearing as themselves, not as cartoon characters) was when Stallone played a thug harassing Woody on the subway in BANANAS. Antz Reviews: "...Dazzling computer animation and inspired casting..."
-- Glenn Kenny, Premiere "...Its shrewd computer animators have great fun seeing the world from an ant's-eye point of view....Mr. Allen sounds wonderfully invigorated by the chance to play a guy with all those legs..."
-- Janet Maslin, New York Times "...A wonderfully entertaining animated comedy....The actors' voices fit very nicely with the ants they play, and the animation is highly imaginative..."
-- Shlomo Schwartzberg, Box Office "...ANTZ is refreshingly naughty and nice..."
-- Peter Travers, Rolling Stone "...Very special visual effects....The two most impressive achievements of ANTZ are its rendering of character and multiplicity..."
-- Jonathan Romney, Sight and Sound "...Grown-up....Subversion slips by swiftly at 24 cels per second..." -- Rating: A-

The bad girls of R&B are back at it again and after a long layoff. Chili, Left Eye, and T-Boz, collectively known as TLC prove that nothing's gonna change their world. With classic TLC demeanor on tracks like "No Scrubs" (sure to get even the most motion-challenged dancer to bust a move), "I'm Good At Being Bad," (TLC at its best) "Silly Ho" and "If They Knew," TLC reminds us why being "bad" is sometimes so attractive. But with all the bad-girl image that TLC works so hard to project, they show their versatility on tracks like "I Miss You So Much" and "Dear Lie." These two cuts show some sentimentality, spotlighting a different side of the TLC their fans have come to know and love.

Antz review
$7.05 Director Alexander (CITIZEN RUTH) Payne's second film, based on the novel by Tom Perotta, takes the scandal and mudslinging associated with presidential elections and transposes them to a high school election for student council president in Nebraska- with impossibly sharp, satirical results. Matthew Broderick, in a reversal of FERRIS BUELLER, plays Jim McAllister, a teacher who will stop at nothing to prevent perfect Tracy Flick (Reese Witherspoon), who is running unopposed, from winning the election. Jim, who bears a personal grudge against Tracy, goads a popular but dim football player (Chris Klein) into running against her. This spurs on a series ...

Antz DVD
$6.89 Made for $30,000 by two young filmmakers from Florida, THE BLAIR WITCH PROJECT wowed festival audiences for several months before finding distribution at the 1999 Sundance Festival. It is an ingenious creation which makes effective use of its lack of budget and cast of unknowns. The film is composed entirely of reportedly "found" footage shot by three missing college students who made a journey to the woods of Western Maryland in 1994 with the purpose of making a documentary about a "witch" of local legend who is linked to murders and mysterious occurrences spanning 200 years. It begins with footage of the crew leaving their homes and testing their equipment, but before we know it, they are lost deep in the endless woods, with the voices of screaming children piercing the blackness from off in the distance. Things get worse from there. The experience is disorienting and frightening as well as the most rewarding horror film experience to come along ...
| | Saving Private Ryan DVD (1998) Widescreen; Limited Edition; Special Edition
Antz movie DVD
$9.65 Director Steven Spielberg's World War II tour de force chronicles the journey of a GI squad on a dangerous mission behind enemy lines. Led by Captain John Miller (Tom Hanks), the unit is under orders to track down a soldier, Private Ryan (Matt Damon), so he might return home to his mother in America, where she is grieving the unimaginable loss of her three other sons to the war. The first unforgettable 20 minutes of SAVING PRIVATE RYAN realistically and horrifically depicts the Normandy invasion as Miller. his second-in-command, Sergeant Horvath (Tom Sizemore), and the others in the unit land at Omaha Beach. Before the film began shooting, Hanks and the actors in his squad went through a one-week boot camp in the woods. All the actors, except Hanks, wanted to quit, but Hanks rallied their spirits by reminding them of the incredible tribulations endured by the real veterans of World War II. Production designer Tom Sanders found a beach in Ireland that ...

Antz movie DVD
$9.95 Notoriously savage funnyman Dennis Miller makes his stand-up debut on DVD with THE RAW FEED. In his distinctly scathing and vulgar language, Miller unleashes another relentless assault against celebrities, politicians, and anyone else unfortunate enough to aggravate the testy comic. One of the main topics of discussion this time around is the Middle East, which gives Miller a wealth of material with which to drop his verbal bombs.
After nine seasons of headlining more than 200 shows, and five Emmy? Awards to his credit, ...
