Capricorn One Reviews: "...Gould and Telly Savalas are teamed...The duo is a bullseye...[Savalas delivers] a delightful cameo..."
-- Hege., Variety "A snappy script, cameos by Karen Black and Telly Savalas, well-paced action and a nice line in post-Watergate paranoia."

Capricorn One Movie Review Average Rating: (4 out of 5 stars) List All Reviews Savalas steals the show. This movie is so good it hurts. Elliot Gould in brilliant form discovering there is something amiss with this flight to Mars. He sets out to uncover the truth and has various obstacles thrown in his way when the guys behind the doomed mission find out someone is on to them. The End of the movie is stunning when Gould's character hires a guy to fly a plane, Albain - played by the superb Telly Savalas, to look for any clues. James Brolin and Hal Holbrook are also terrific. Not to be missed. Submitted by Martin (Glasgow, Scotland) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No 1 of 1 found this helpful.
A Must For Any 70's Movie Fan I rented Capricorn One, expecting a space drama. Although I missed my Sci Fi fix for the day, this movie rocked. Classic 70s action, great filming, and excellent incorporation of the political atmosphere of the day. Submitted by lisa (MO, USA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No

Capricorn One review
$13.59 In THE BIRDS, Alfred Hitchcock's heart-pounding follow-up to PSYCHO, the director couples a tone of rigorous morality with dark humor to create a thriller that begins as a light comedy and ends as an apocalyptic allegory. Tippi Hedren (Melanie Griffith's mother) carries the picture in her first film role ever, embarking on a career as an icy-cool leading lady. Loosely based on a Daphne du Maurier story and a Santa Monica newspaper account, "Seabird Invasion Hits Coastal Homes," THE BIRDS also features groundbreaking special effects that, in 1963, surprised and delighted audiences.
Wealthy reformed party girl Melanie Daniels (Hedren) enjoys a brief flirtation with lawyer Mitch Brenner (Rod Taylor) in a San Francisco pet shop and decides to follow him to his Bodega Bay home. Bearing a gift of two lovebirds, Melanie quickly strikes up a romance with Mitch while contending ...

Capricorn One DVD
$10.29 DUEL, one of Steven Spielberg's first vehicles, foreshadowed the blockbuster film JAWS. Using minimal dialogue and effects, Spielberg defines the characteristics of his prolific oeuvre in this early work. Through tight cinematic narration, he effectively conveys the sudden and shocking horror that develops over the course of the film.
On a deserted stretch of California highway, businessman David Mann (Dennis
Weaver) settles into his red Valiant for the long drive to an urgent meeting. Ahead of him on the road is a slow-moving diesel truck, which David innocently decides to pass. So begins the long duel between David and the Goliath-like rig in this nerve-wracking TV movie. Menacing David at every twist and turn of the highway, the truck tries to push the Valiant onto a train track, run David down in a phone booth, engage him in a high-speed chase, and tailgate him into oblivion. Hoping to lose the rig, David stops at a roadside café only to realize that the driver of the ...
