Carnaval Do Mundo album
$11.99 The music of Dead Can Dance has long been a favorite of the "Goth" crowd; however, AION is really the first one of the band's records that can actually be called Gothic in the classic, renaissance sense. Arguably Dead Can Dance's most successful record, it contains the band's most consistent set of songs since SPLEEN AND IDEAL. Widening their view to encompass more of the ancient world than with earlier records, Dead Can Dance explore styles from Northern Europe ("The Song of the Sibyl") to the Middle East ("Radharc"), with stops along ...

Carnaval Do Mundo music CDs
$13.29 While the name Israel Kamakawiwo'ole falls trippingly off few tongues, the Hawaiian singer better known as "Iz" was one of the biggest stars in his home state. Iz first came to public attention as a member of the popular Hawaiian group known as the Makaha Sons of Ni'ihau. His subsequent solo career brought even greater fame, and countless fans were saddened at his untimely death in 1997. Those who mourn his passing will be gladdened by the posthumous release of ALONE IN IZ WORLD, compiled from various recording session outtakes.
While one might expect a big, deep sound to emanate from a gargantuan-sized ...

| | Bob Marley Catch A Fire: Deluxe Edition CDs (1973) Remastered; Deluxe Edition
Carnaval Do Mundo album
$19.59 It is nearly impossible to imagine a time when reggae was not part of the cultural currency. Though Bob Marley and the Wailers cannot be said to have invented the style, they certainly brought it to the world stage, and this album was the torch that lit the way. CATCH A FIRE hit with the force of a revelation when it was released in 1973, and though Chris Blackwell tailored its sound with a rock audience in mind, the album was still unlike anything that had ever come down the pike. Ironically, even given its relatively full production and electric guitar solos, CATCH A FIRE sounds more organic and rootsy than any of the Wailers' subsequent releases.
While the percolating rhythms and burbling bass lines of the Barrett ...

Carnaval Do Mundo CD music
$15.19 Jazzmatic has changed gears with this smooth, yet aromatic scent of hooks and grooves. This Cd is, a Virtual Drive. Just close your eyes, lay back and reminisce of those times of your life, which really hit the spot. I'll prescribe this compilation to take you away from the present; to remain there would only suggest you take another dose. I found myself playing it a few times and experiencing something different with each play. I would be more than happy to express which tracks were my favorites, but since our daily lives put us in different moods, so were my favorites. Virtual Drive is addictive, damn, it's addictive.Dr. Daniel MorrisJazz Freelance Writer The Virtual Drive CD, should be called, what a trip. I had the pleasure of meeting this extraordinary group at one of their concerts in Atlanta GA, last year. I was totally blown away by the fact, it was only two people on stage! The enormous amount of power coming from these guys, and that Hammond B-3, blew my doors off. Will Culbreath called me while in Spain and said a new Jazzmatic CD was going to be released in June. He sent a copy to review. Well, the package arrives, and in the player it went. The first track, Nightly Confessions, forced me to call an old boyfriend and invite him over for a few drinks, if you get what ...
