An album that took chances
Way back in the day when I owned the vinyl version of this album, I realized after listening to it a few times, Shalamar was experimenting with their sound. It didn't have the commercial edge of their two previous albums, but it sounded more personal. It could be because by this time, Shalamar members Jeffrey Daniel, Jody Watley and Howard Hewitt had contributed to the writing and producing of this underrated work. Instead of hit singles, what they had here was an album to listen to in it's entirety.
