Private Talks
$17.65 Deluxe Edition
Audio Mixer: Stefan Glaumann. Anyone familiar with the industrial-metal band's dark sense of irony should take one look at the title of Rammstein's 2009 album LIEBE IST FUR ALLE DA ("Love Is There For Everyone") and conclude that this one is a mean monster. Combining the tightness and punch of their 1998 album SEHNSUCHT with the musicianship and elaborate textures of their later work, LIEBE IST is a grand achievement, skillfully dividing its time between razor sharp metal rockers like "B********" or the opening theme song "Rammlied" and nostalgic, cabaret ...

$16.09 Personnel: Paul Stanley, Tommy Thayer (vocals, guitar); Eric Singer (vocals, drums); Gene Simmons (vocals). Audio Mixer: Greg Collins . Photographers: Neil Zlozower; Dean Snowden. When SONIC BOOM was released, it had been over a decade since the last Kiss studio album, so expectations were understandably high. In addition, the intervening period had seen the band fire two of its founding members for the second time, only to replace them with sidemen wearing Ace Frehley and Peter Criss's ...

| | Art Farmer New York Jazz Sextet CD (2004) (Import) Japan; France
Private Talks
$13.59 The complete stereo & mono versions. First time on CD, two original LPs on one CD. This edition features the incomparable trumpeter and fugelhornist Art FArmer leading a perennially brilliant cast of New York giants including James Moody, Tommy Flanagan, Tom McIntosh, Richard Davis and Albert ''Tootie'' Heath. Fresh Sounds.
This collection from jazz musician Art Farmer combines two original albums, in their stereo and mono versions, on one CD. The compilation includes collaborations with James Moody, Tommy Flanagan, Tom McIntosh, Richard Davis, and Albert "Tootie" Heath. Art Farmer put together New York Jazz Sextet in 1965 (not long after he had switched from trumpet to flugelhorn for good), featuring James Moody(tenor sax and flute), trombonist Tom McIntosh, pianist Tommy Flanagan, bassist Richard Davis, and drummer Albert "Tootie" Heath. Their only release was Group Therapy, issued by Scepter, which was long out of business until Lone Hill Jazz reissued this valuable music in 2004, and with an added bonus: All of the mono takes are here, which are different versions from the stereo masters. The primary focus of the CD is on original music, all arranged by the trombonist, starting with McIntosh's richly textured "Bottom on Top," a brilliant ballad feature for Moody's flute and the blend of the horns. McIntosh is the primary focus of the tense "Supplication," though Flanagan's introspective solo will surprise his fans. Four of the numbers were written ...
