| | Thin Lizzy Wild One CD Thin Lizzy Discography of CDs
1996 compilation featuring 20 tracks. Highlights include, 'The Boys Are Back in Town', 'Jailbreak', 'Don't Believe a Word', 'Waiting for an Alibi' & 'Rosalie/Cowgirl's Song' (live).
For the tenth anniversary of Phil Lynott's death, a new best-of collection was issued in most parts of the world except for America: Wild One: The Very Best of Thin Lizzy. While the Euro-version was a single disc that contained 19 tracks, the Japanese version contained a bonus disc comprised of ten rare live performances, all on par with Lizzy's classic 1978 in-concert set, Live and Dangerous. In fact, two of the tracks were planned to appear on the aforementioned set, but were dropped due to time constrictions -- "Bad Reputation" and "Opium Trail" (both are must-hear, kick-ass versions). Featured on the live disc are renditions of "Are You Ready," "Chinatown," "Killer on the Loose," "Hollywood," "Got to Give It Up," and "Dear Miss Lonely Hearts" (the latter originally being a Lynott solo composition), among others. The best-of disc contains all the expected Lizzy faves, such as "Jailbreak," "Whisky in the Jar," "Waiting for an Alibi," "Still in Love With You," and more, but surprisingly, the song that the album is titled after is not included (which originally appeared on 1975's Fighting). Still, the live disc is worth the price of admission alone; any serious Lizzy fan should hunt down a Japanese copy. ~ Greg Prato

Wild One CD music
$14.29 If you're going to have a career in music, it's important to know what your strengths and weaknesses are. Being great at one thing doesn't automatically mean a person is great (or even competent) at another; the history of music is full of excellent guitarists, bassists, drummers, and horn players who turned out to be mediocre or lousy vocalists when -- for whatever reason -- they decided to take up singing. But Larry Taylor has no problem making the transition from drummer to singer on They Were in This House, the Chicago ...
| | Grady Nichols Mysterious Intentions CD (1997)
Wild One music CDs
$12.65 From small town Midwest beginnings to the big-time as an internationally known saxophonist, Grady Nichols enjoys an audience as broad as his musical taste. “My influences are so varied and I try to reflect that in my music. As I’ve matured as a songwriter, that growth has allowed me to infuse more of myself into each record. Using this mixture of flavors has helped me to create a sound with widespread audience appeal. As a result, you’ll see people of all ages at my shows. With the project I’m working on now, I’m trying to capture something new and fun that is another layer of my musical personality.” Saxophonist Grady Nichols has enjoyed great success in the smooth jazz genre. Heralded by well-known jazz critic and writer Jonathan Widran as “most likely to spearhead the next generation of great smooth artists,” Grady also got the attention of Grammy-nominated recording artist Jeff Lorber, who discovered Kenny G. A legendary keyboardist and known as the father of fusion, Lorber calls Grady “the awesome new sax player for the millennium.” Consider Grady’s rural upbringing in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. How does a young guy from a Mayberry-like, dirt-road-dominated town discover the hip sounds of the saxophone? Ironically, it was that rural and tornado-prone area that introduced Grady to his passion for music. While frequently watching The ...
