The title track (vocal version) is well done. This version was never available when released in '75. Obviously there was more vocals tracks when originally recorded. "Every Beat of My Heart" is taken from the extended "disco version" originaly released commercialy only on 45RPM and promotionaly on 12" DJ only vinyl on Delite records.

Forum's only album -- 1967's The River Is Wide -- is notable for its connection to exotica guru Les Baxter, who produced, arranged, and composed four tracks. Baxter also contributed liner sleeve notes for this highly collectible LP, which describes how he witnessed a folk performance on-stage in a Pasadena, CA, club by the leader of the trio, Phil Campos. Campos soon became a student of Baxter's and also became one of Les Baxter's Balladeers, appearing on that folk group's self-titled Reprise album in 1961. He also appeared, as a solo folky, on a number of "Hootenanny" albums, including The Big Hootenanny: Live Recordings at the Troubadour, the Ice House and the Ash Grove (In Records, 1963), Hootenanny at the Troubador (Horizon, 1963), and Let's Have a Hootenanny, (Crown, 1963). 2008 expanded reissue of one of the most sought-after British Psychedelic '60s albums of all time. Originally released in 1968, the album's main appeal is its haunting brand of Psychedelia and Rev-Ola are delighted to announce that this special CD issue has four bonus tracks. The gorgeous package is also enhanced by a quantity of previously unpublished photographs and some highly-informative CD booklet notes by '60s Pop-sike expert David Wells. 16 tracks. July has come to be highly prized, mainly for the presence of "My Clown," which is considered to be one of the great psychedelic singles of all time. Tom Newman, who went on to glory as the engineer of choice for Mike Oldfield, handles the vocals for the majority of the album (the exception being Chris Jackson's "Crying Is for Writers"), as well as the majority of the songwriting. Although "Purple Haze" is a highlight of LOVEBOX, the song is not a cover version of the Jimi Hendrix hit. This CD from London-based dance/electronica duo Groove Aramda also features guest appearances from Neneh Cherry, Richie Havens, and Red Rat. Though Groove Armada's Andy Cato and Tom Findlay have been justly praised for their production talents, the duo's fourth album, Lovebox, takes them down the path of production gloss. The opener, "Purple Haze," features Nappy Roots backed by a restrained guitar grind, while Richie Havens (making a repeat appearance) contributes yet another deeply felt performance on "Hands of Time." "Final Shakedown" rips a page from the Basement Jaxx book, with a swinging, slapping house production and the ragga-tinged vocals of Red Rat. "Madder," the only track on the album performed by a band, rides a groove straight out of the Clash's "Magnificent Seven," with a solid sung-spoken rap by M.A.D.
