$16.39 At HomeBorn and raised in the suburbs of Detroit, Michigan, Gail finds that she loves the Michigan landscape more than any place in the world. She is especially drawn to the North Country in the Upper Peninsula (or “Up North” as they say in Michigan). “We spent most of our family\'s summer vacations Up North where my father was born. I know it is because of those family vacations, that I grew up with an intense love for the Great Lakes and the woodlands of Michigan. I find a beauty and peace here like nowhere else. And yes...while I do agree that there are many beautiful places in the world, there is no place I would rather call home.” She is the oldest of 4 children, a loving wife, mother of 2, and grandmother of 1. Her parents, siblings, and their families are spaced out all over Michigan; so she does her best to gather them all together at least twice a year to spend time catching up and loving on them. She loves to paint, garden, and wander the woods on cool autumn days. She also has a passion for dogs. Under the guidance and training of her sister who is a professional dog trainer and breeder; Gail has become quite the avid dog whisperer, helping friends and strangers alike to train their furry companions. The MusicGail discovered her love for music, at a very early age. Her earliest memories, she recalls, are around the age of 2 or 3 years old; when she and her mother would sit at the living room window, just before dinner, waiting for daddy to come home from work. They would watch out the window and sing tirelessly until he finally came through the front door. At the age of around six, she discovered the wonder of vocal effects, and on warm summer days you would very often find her sitting and singing her little heart out in front of the family’s big blue fan. “I would sit and sing into that big blue fan sometimes for hours, I thought it made me sound grand. Singing songs from the radio, songs I made up; in an opera voice, or with country twang; some songs that were just silly, and never made any sense, but it didn’t matter “I just loved to sing.” In the 7th grade she recalls; her brother being the one who got the guitar for Christmas. He just wasn\'t interested in it, so he just left it on his bed to collect dust. Gail couldn\'t bare that so she would sneak in his room when he wasn\'t home, and just started plucking out melodies. After some time had pass mom realized who the guitar should have been given to, and somehow in a way she doesn\'t recall, the guitar became hers. She took about 4 lessons from a nun from the church they attended. Everything after that was self taught; little did she know where that would lead. Gail admits, “I am not famous in the eyes of the world, only in the eyes of my family and close friends. I am just a girl who loves to sing, and people seem to like when I do. I believe that this is God’s way of telling me I am on the right path; this is the gift I should be using to bring Glory to His kingdom.”She has performed in almost ...
