| | Michael Monroe Life Gets You Dirty CD Michael Monroe Discography of CDs
(1 Customer Review)
Formerly of Hanoi Rocks, the eternally pouty vocalist Michaell Monroe gets listeners very dirty indeed on this solo album; included are glamcore gems like "Self Destruction Blues" and "Since When Did You Care."
With this release, Hanoi Rocks' lead vocalist has put out an entertaining album. The disc is a good blend of punk edginess and '80s metal sounds. It gets bluesy at times, but the whole disc is just plain fun. ~ Gary Hill

Life Gets You Dirty music CDs
$10.75 With Another One Lost, Lake Trout moved further into the Radiohead-cleared ether, bending the drum'n'bass and electronica influences of Alone at Last into a more modern rock aesthetic. The resulting 13 tracks are beautiful, minimalist explorations of richly subtle proportions. Like their work mimicking electronic music in a live setting, the band relies on repetitive ...
| | Sean Chambers Humble Spirits CD (2004)
Life Gets You Dirty songs
$11.39 Like most guitar players with a developing taste for Blues-Rock guitar, Sean grew up listening to the likes of Johnny Winter, the three Kings (BB, Freddie, & Albert), Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, and Billy Gibbons to name a few. Chambers was particularly smitten with the legendary sounds of Jimi Hendrix, and later, Stevie Ray Vaughan. In fact, it was these two players that inspired the young Chambers to delve into their unique styles in depth, which had a noticeable influence on his tone and touch. Sean doesn't merely play the guitar as much as he boldly attacks the instrument with a fluid ferocity and attitude that makes one stop dead in their tracks.Over the last 15 years, Chambers has continued to evolve through regular touring, not only honing his guitar mastery, but also refining his vocal and songwriting talents along the way. In October 1998, Chambers released his initial recording effort Strong Temptation which to date has shipped more than 15,000 copies. Since then, Chambers has had a number of milestones in his career, one of which was becoming the musical director and guitarist for the legendary Hubert Sumlin of Howlin' Wolf fame. Touring the world with Sumlin for almost five years, they performed before sellout crowds at major clubs and festivals in the US, Europe, Japan, and Canada. Following in the footsteps of many of his idols, Chambers has been especially well received ...

| | Psi Paul Insomnia Stranahan Psi Paul Stranahan's Insomnia CD (2008)
Life Gets You Dirty CD music
$11.39 PSI-Paul Stranahan's Insomnia is a drummer led band that is dedicated to performing all original, adventuresome, and creative music. The band draws from diverse styles of music including jazz, progressive rock, fusion, avant-garde, metal, funk, and anything else it might like to on any given night. The group strikes a balance between structured compositions and free form improvisations. Guitar and bass round out the band. PSI formed as an offshoot of the Paul Stranahan Trio in order to focus on original compositions. While the Trio will perform originals, it’s focus is more on straight ahead jazz and some fusion. PSI however draws influences from and is inspired by such musicians and groups as Frank Zappa, John Zorn, Meshuggah, John Scofield, Claudia Quintet, King Crimson, Weather Report and Miles Davis. Paul Stranahan has been playing percussion professionally for 20 years. He has been a band leader since 1999 when he decided he wanted to focus on the kind of creative music that is his passion. Before that, Paul had played in bands ranging in style from indie rock, reggae, country, blues, R+B, big band and Top 40. In addition to PSI’s self titled CD, Paul has released a well reviewed CD called “Climbing Somewhere” which has eleven songs all written by Paul. In 2000 the Trio released their debut CD titled “Solar.” It featured seven jazz standards and two of Paul’s originals. He has also played drums on and written songs for the self titled CD of the experimental band Broadview Collective and the jazz-rock-fusion band Rare Blend Cds “Infinity” and “Evolution Theory.” Paul will be featured on drums on the upcoming CD “Passage” by Jeremey Poparad who is a collaborator with Paul in PSI. Paul has also been interviewed and received playing time on many different radio stations such as WCLV, WCPN, WRUW, WJCU and WCSB. He graduated from the Conservatory of Music at Capital University and also teaches private percussion lessons. His main drumming influences are Elvin Jones, Tony Williams and Bill Bruford. Other Musicians on the Self Titled PSI Paul Stranahan’s Insomnia CdJeremy Bleich (electric bass on tracks 1-6, 9-11) incorporates a wide palette of culture, ancient and modern instrumentst, traditions and form as well as electronic manipulation into the creative process of performing, composing and recording music. His approach to the electric bass and the oud have earned him a reputation internationally as an innovator. In ...
